Kotoha Isone | open!
She's in the cargo area, guns lovingly placed in a safe area. She stands on one end of the wide open room, blaster in hand, and faces the opposite end. For a second, her eyes flash bright green. ]
Shortcut: target!
[ Poof - a circular target with three red rings pops into existence in midair, across the room and a bit to her left. She very quickly aims and fires, hits the target, and smiles as it drops to the floor.
She'll conjure up targets for anyone else who wants to join in. ♥ ]

He watches her from a distance at first, though moves closer once she's fired at the targets at the opposite end. This girl knows what she's doing. ]
Who taught you?
no subject
Ah, mostly myself. Lots of studying, lots of practice. Though I did have friends who helped show me some things as I went.
[ Guns: one hell of a hobby... ]
But where I'm from, we still have bullets. Not having to reload is kind of weird!

[ But weapons aren't hard for him to figure out. As you say: one hell of a hobby. ]

[ SHRUG. She still feels like she's been shoved into a sci-fi flick, and casually 4th-wall-breaking and trope-spotting are clearly the best ways to deal with that. ]
Are you from earth too, then? I keep hearing that most of us are. I'm Kotoha.

[ His expertise really isn't alien technology, just firearms. And also combat, but.. y'know. ]
I am, yes. It's Winter.
no subject
Great job! That was awesome.
no subject
Thank you~! Wanna try?
no subject
Seriously? I've never used a gun like that before.
[A pause and she laughs.] And I've gotta be out of practice with the regular ones...
no subject
I hadn't either until I got here... But they're not too different from the regular ones! And they make you feel like you're in a sci-fi movie when you shoot them.
[ Still smiling, she holds out the blaster for Leanne to take. ]
no subject
[Ohhhh man, all right. She can't say no to that.
With another laugh, she reaches out to grab the blaster, carefully testing its weight in her hands.]
Okay. I believe you, but it still feels reeeaaally different, you know?

[ A smile, and a wink~! Then she points to a switch near the trigger. ] That changes the setting. There's two - one is like rifle fire, and the other is closer to a shotgun. Just to let you know! It was a little weird to get the hang of that.
[ She steps away, faces the other end of the room - her eyes glow again, and if Leanne looks over, she might even see sparks fly from Kotoha's lips as she speaks. ]
Shotcut: Target! Target! Target!
[ Poof! Three targets appear across the room, hanging in midair - two stationary, and one higher up that's moving side to side~ ]
(( OoC: I've been going off of this question someone asked the mods a while back, sooo i think otherwise, we can just roll with whatever, lol. ))
no subject
Okay... All right. I think I've got it. [A grin.] Thanks!
[And she's definitely gotta be getting too into it or something. Because were those just sparks right now?
Yeah. Definitely seeing things.
She takes another step back, adjusts her grip on the gun, and lines up her first shot. And... One, two, three shots.
Her aim isn't the best, nothing's going to be hitting dead center here, especially on the moving target, but it's clear she does have some experience with this.]
[ooc; That's totally cool!! No worries!]
no subject
Yes! Nice! Ahh, I guess you had practice where you come from, or something?
no subject
Sooomething like that. My friends taught me how to shoot. And I've had to use it for... Um. [She shrugs, her grin turning sheepish.] Work sometimes.
no subject
Mm. Same. What kind of work do you do?
[ It's pretty clear from her tone that there's zero pressure for her to actually answer - but she is legitimately curious and interested! ]
no subject
We had to find something someone lost, deliver something else... [A shake of her head.] Or fight someone.
It probably sounds reeeaaally weird.
no subject
[she is hearing the weirdest excited UOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! noise from behind her, as this sparkly-eyed little redhead is absolutely taken by her precision and her abilities.]
That was amazing!!!
no subject
She looks over her shoulder and gives him a griiiin, soaking up the attention~ ]
Ah, thank you! I didn't know I had an audience. Now I'm really glad I didn't miss~
no subject
[look at him panic in front of new people]
I don't want to distract you!
