[B has a naturally curious mind, and the engineering augment seems to have only amplified it. He'll be found in literally all parts of the Heron, tinkering about, pulling things apart to see how they work and putting them back together in roughly the correct order. It's not that he doesn't know how things go back together; he just has Ideas about how to improve things, pending field tests.

Shipmates, have you met B already? If so, he introduced himself by the name Ryuzaki. If not ... well, come find out for yourself what kind of weirdo he is, exactly.]

[ She's just watched him pull... uh, something... out of the wall and start tinkering with it. It doesn't bother her any. Actually, she's been pretty casual about the whole thing since she randomly wandered over to start watching him. But now, she's curious, so it's time to ask questions~ ]

[ While he's used to strange things happening at a steady rate, someone taking apart the ship from the inside isn't one of them. The Atroma had already messed with their ship, making some areas seem smaller, colder-- while others remained bright and open. So, seeing someone disrupting the already disrupted ship rubs him the wrong way.

Of course, he's not the captain, so it's not his ship to order him to stop, but he still doesn't like it. ]

[ Sorry if you're not used to silent approaches and a looming presence, B. Meet Winter, the king of sneak on the ship. ]

[B is usually the one doing the sneaking and getting into personal space. It's interesting to be on the receiving end of it, he thinks, though he doesn't let on, and he doesn't look up from his work to answer, only glances momentarily out of the corner of his eye.]

Making an improvement to the defense shields, of course.

[ Anyone want to poke around with guns? Kotoha's had plenty of time to get the hang of the guns provided to the ship by her security augment, so she doesn't mind teaching others, should they want to know!

She's in the cargo area, guns lovingly placed in a safe area. She stands on one end of the wide open room, blaster in hand, and faces the opposite end. For a second, her eyes flash bright green. ]

Shortcut: target!

[ Poof - a circular target with three red rings pops into existence in midair, across the room and a bit to her left. She very quickly aims and fires, hits the target, and smiles as it drops to the floor.

She'll conjure up targets for anyone else who wants to join in. ♥ ]

[ Perhaps he hasn't been as sociable as he should be, particularly with the newest additions to the crew..and he likely still wouldn't be. However, the sound of the weapons disengaging lures him out and into the cargo bay.

He watches her from a distance at first, though moves closer once she's fired at the targets at the opposite end. This girl knows what she's doing. ]

[Leanne doesn't bother to announce herself when she enters the room, only claps her hands together once she's fired at the targets, grinning brightly.]

Winter || OTA

[ If you can happen to find Winter aboard the Heron with all the ships still being planet side, well done. While he can be found, his presence is very few and far between.

a. He may be found in the kitchen where it's just a little brighter, playing solitaire with himself, though his eyes very quickly move to the door at any sort of sound.

b. At various times throughout the day, Winter could be found in the cargo bay, breaking in the new recreation upgrade. The treadmill gets pretty frequent use, but there's also a punching bag (and it's even been reinforced to handle super soldier hi-jinx. Thanks, Atroma??) that he can be found giving the ol' one-two.

c. You may be able to catch him monitoring the halls, because there are new passengers, the ship is changed, and he's a paranoid guy.

d. And perhaps, if you are very lucky indeed, Winter can be found curled in an isolated corner, reading a book. ]

[She doesn't even try to be silent as she enters the kitchen. Everyone always seems to be able to tell when she's entered a room here anyway.

Instead, she just waves when she comes in, making sure to smile.]

[It strikes Vima that she doesn't know their ship's medic too well, which she ought to fix, because she needs all the doctor friends she can get she ought to be more familiar with her shipmates.

She's not exactly sure what he's doing in the halls here, though, so she just... watches him for a minute or so before speaking up.]

[What with all the Jedi now in the Fleet, Vima has been doing quite a bit of meditation and focusing even harder on her practice with the Force. She still wants to give Battle Meditation a shot, though putting it into practice will have to wait until, you know. A real battle.

She can be found doing this mostly in the kitchen or the recreation area in the cargo bay, with paper cups or hand weights floating around her... or maybe practicing lightsaber forms with a metal bar.]

[Of all the inconveniences to be found accompanying life on a ship in space, B has found the lack of coffee to be the greatest. It doesn't, however, prevent him from shuffling into the kitchen from time to time in search of something to drink. Tea is a not-quite-adequate substitute, but it's the best of the available options, he supposes.

When he comes across Vima practicing, he halts in the doorway and silently watches her for a few long moments - long enough for most people to find creepy, anyway.]

[so on the last day on the planet, hinata brought home something. and for the last week, he has been hiding it in the cargo bay.

[but a little black arctic fox is now zipping around the ship with hinata running screaming after it trying to catch up. it might chew on your shoes. he's so sorry.]

[ ...Are you really sorry, Hinata? Really? The fox is lucky that he's not feeling particularly violent as it chews on his boot while his foot is still in it.

This time, he's quick to crouch down and grab the thing around the middle before it can dart off again. It's feisty and is trying to squirm its way out of his grip. What did you do to this thing? ]

january 21 {cw fire + hallucinations}

[On the morning of the 21st, B wakes to the smell of ash, smoke, and gasoline filling his nose. Throughout the day, he can be found in all parts of the ship, fire extinguisher in hand, putting out fires that remain unseen to everyone but him.]

[ The first time Kotoha notices him "extinguishing" a wall, she doesn't... really do anything about it, because 1) she's comfortable where she's sitting right now, thanks and 2) he probably has his strange, strange reasons. She just goes about her day.

Later, the second time she notices him "extinguishing" a box in the cargo bay, it's time to say something. She hurriedly makes her way over. ]

Hey, hey -- what's going on?

[ Jim isn't following him, but the odd behaviour. It's not unsettling, just familiar in a sad kind of way. There were kids in the war who'd keep stabbing a body long after it was dead, barely understanding what was happening. He follows, not silently. ]
