no subject
[ she might hear a sneeze. ]
yeah maybe soup would be good...

good call and bless you. hang tight it'll be a bit i'm making this stuff from actual ingredients not processed things
[and isaac can probably hear her leaving her room and heading to the kitchen because super dog ears]

[ but sure, he'll wait because someone is going to bring him soup and he really does feel (and most definitely looks) like shit.
so when Octavia returns she'll find a rumpled wolf boy, blankets wrapped around him, including the fur she gave him before. ]

but he does, either way and climbs out of bed with the fur blanket wrapped around him to open up the hatch for her. ]
I didn't know you were here, couldn't hear you at all...

[Somehow she sucessfully balances two bowls of soup--one larger than the other-- and a bottle of water while coming down the ladder. Once there, she looks at him.]
Maybe be less of a dick for a bit and you'll get fed. [Octavia still would anyway. She sets the smaller bowl on a flat surface before holding out the larger bowl and water bottle to him.]
Nice blanket.

[ seriously, what a good friend. Isaac rolls his eyes either way and plops back down on his bed to burrow into the blankets a little bit more. he feels like death, okay. ]
I didn't ask you to try to come down here with your food juggling act, okay. [ though it's not as sharp as it usually is, because he's actually pretty grateful. ]
Yeah, thanks, it's alright. This weird girl gave it to me.

[She grins at the eye roll, opting to lean against the wall near the ladder and hatch, grabbing her own soup. Spoon are included, by the way.]
We're out of fresh greens, too, but that's fine. Much longer and they wouldn't have been too green anymore.
[Octavia takes a bite, pauses, then nods.] Worked out well.

[ but the fact that the soup might have something real in it makes the world. so he gets his spoon and takes a bite, humming contentedly both at the warmth of it and the flavor. ]
Jade can help with the greens, she does that weird vegetable magic. [ he shrugs, stuffs another spoonful of soup into his mouth. ]
S'good. [ he says while taking another bite, no big deal. ]
no subject
She can? That'll help with real food. [A loud slurping noise goes here.] Guess we'd better up our hunting on the next planet. Another couple days and we might be out of meat.
[Octavia shifts her weight from one foot to the other.]
On Arslae, I went on several hunting trips with Nova and more with others. Since we were from different ships, we had to split what we got. [Right now she's more musing aloud than anything else.] Maybe if we form a party from crewmates on this ship it'd work better.

[ he cannot think, what with the brick of phlegm in his head. seriously he feels like he's screaming down a tunnel with every new sniffle. ] I can help, might be good if we can get a good supply going. It beats gel and powder by a mile.
[ it's no burger or pizza or barbecue, but he'll take it. it tastes like real food for once. ] I'll tell her to give it all to us next time. She doesn't need it. [ he's joking, maybe. ]
no subject
[One last slurp and she sets the bowl down where it was before. Octavia hooks her thumbs in her pants pockets to just stand there all chill and whatever.]
A couple miles, actually, and I'm still okay with those. Says a lot. [And then she snorts.]
Yeah, I'm pretty sure she'd stab you with something if you did that.
no subject
[ god, the Marisva was a sight to behold on that day. anything would beat being sick, though, and just the thought of doing something ridiculous to piss Atroma off makes him perk up a little. ]
I don't know, this tastes like actual soup and not power and chemicals, so, yeah a few miles at least.
no subject
Eh, powder and chemicals can have their moments. But you'd be hard pressed to get anyone else to agree.
By the way, there's leftover soup. I stashed some in a bowl in the back of the fridge. Third shelf.
no subject
[ pot, meet kettle. ] There's more? [ why is she being so nice to him? he stifles a sneeze into the crook of his elbow and sniffles. ]
Er. Yeah, thanks. [ he can't seem too excited, okay. but this soup is actually pretty amazing! ] You don't care if I have it?
