That was real mature of you guys all skipping out on the Huntress just because I was made captain. [Literally just inputted a request into the computer for that. Nothing more.] I hope you all enjoy your new ships, because the Huntress is going to do just fine without you.

[He is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OKAY being ditched. He didn't even like you guys! Except he's not, because it makes him cranky and he's stuck kicking around on the Huntress trying to beat the high score on their new pinball machine. He's never played anything like it before, so he finds the experience pretty frustrating. But if anything, he's just bored and annoyed at having his 'possessions' taken away from him.]

[The ship may be small, but Greed's presence is enormous. Trapped within this single body is a thousand souls in anguish, all swirling around long devoid of any thought or reason. Within that well of souls it's next to impossible to really determine where Greed is inside all of that, much less the true owner of the body who is counted among those souls.]

[ He almost flinches, pulling back. Dangerous, very dangerous. All his senses tell him to be wary. Obi-Wan composes himself, as quickly as he can. It will not do, to let anything slip. ]

If you have the opportunity to get what you can. And even getting . . . does not mean keeping.

[Greed isn't paying enough attention to care, though it does not go unnoticed by Ling Yao who is as ever a silent observer to Greed's actions.]

Maybe, but as you might be able to tell, I don't really like giving up my possessions. Once I have something, you won't have an easy time prying it out of my hands.

No one will need to take it from you if it leaves on its own accord.

[ People, especially, you cannot cling to gain their constant presence. ]

People, right. Well, there's no stopping that, is there?

[What he wouldn't give for the old gang. Now that was a group that weren't fickle enough to just make off anytime they didn't like something Greed said or did. Loyalty like that was a rare thing.

Not if you put some effort into it. You're a Captain now. Why not work to earn loyalty? It'll be a stronger method than simply leaving it to chance.

There you go again with the advice, pops. Is this sort of thing chronic for you?

[ Sort of. He's hardly going to go into detail about being a Jedi with someone like Greed. ]

What, with the whole chalkboard and yardstick routine? No wonder you're such a snoozefest.

[He has a good laugh at this.] Well it looks like you got me there. But I think I'll stay anyway. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with you, though. I hope you at least have a useful augment.

Pilot, apparently. And I have experience that does not solely depend on my augment. I would consider that a valued commodity.

Got it. You can call me Greed. Or captain, if that's your thing.

[He's cool with being impersonal. Hell, he even will take Mr. Greed.]

Captain Greed sounds like overkill.

[ And Captain, at this stage, seems unearned. ]

I'm still getting used to it. I'm not sure it really rolls off the tongue.

[Admiral Greed on the other hand... ~~Grand Moff Greed?~~]

I imagine it could . . . with the right work done.
