Who: Hera and YOU!
Broadcast: Video; fleetwide.
Action: The Marsiva hospitality deck.
When: January 4
[ Well, this is clearly a ship, in space, but it's not the Ghost, or any other ship she might be familiar with. It also clearly isn't an Imperial Star Destroyer - if Hera had been captured by the Empire, she'd be really obviously in a prison cell, or worse. Plus, there are no stormtroopers in sight. So, probably not Empire, but probably not the rebellion, either.
Other than that, it could be just about anyone holding her. And she needs to get more information on the situation. A number of possibilities present themselves - she could keep her head down, sneak around, and see if she can eavesdrop it. Or she could play the wide-eyed innocent, and use this handy-dandy video link she seems to be equipped with (seriously, who gives a captive a comm link anyway?)
The comm could be some kind of trick or trap, but Hera trusts her own resourcefulness, so eventually, she flips it on. ]
Uh, hello? I think there might've been a misunderstanding of some sort, here. I've lost track of my ship - were we supposed to go through some kind of inspection?

[ A beat. ]
Except maybe by the different galaxy thing, that's - that's bizarre. Who's in charge? [ Are they, somehow, beyond the Empire's reach? ]
no subject
[If that means precisely nothing to Hera, then they're in similar straits.]
Needless to say, they aren't interested in granting audiences with their prisoners.

So, as far as I can tell, we're prisoners here, but our captors - they're not interested in speaking to us, there are no ransom demands, no demands of any kind, actually. So they don't want anything from us, except to - be puppets in their little holodrama?
[ Hera has certainly been captured before, been made a prisoner, but her captors have always wanted something - information, money, companionship, something. ]

[Whether it's at all accurate remains to be seen, though Leia's skeptical.]
I hope you weren't on your way to do anything important.

I've been thinking I could use a vacation, but this isn't what I had in mind.

Unfortunately, I'd recommend making yourself comfortable. Some of these people have been here over a year.

[It's too grim a future to contemplate in any real detail; she needs to get out of here.]
My name is Leia Organa. I'm sorry we're meeting under these circumstances.
no subject
You wouldn't happen to be related to Senator Bail Organa, would you?
no subject
[It's becoming amusing, the way everyone recognizes her surname and immediately jumps to memories of her father. For her own part, Hera's name provokes a little spark of recognition in Leia, too. Someone in the Alliance, she knows that much for sure. She'll have to do some thinking to try to remember who.]
Bail Organa was my father. You worked with him, didn't you?
no subject
I - have, a few times, yes. He's a good man.
[ Hera also didn't miss the past tense. ]
This time difference stuff is really going to take some getting used to.
no subject
[The question of timing makes it more complicated to say anything more than that, though.]
It gets to be a headache. [To say the least.] Everyone seems to be from a few different times, though. What do you last remember?

I flew a prototype fighter not long ago, they call it the B-Wing.
no subject
The B-Wing, a prototype, though...that's well before the present and well after the past, even if she can't place the exact year off the top of her head. Her brows raise.]
It sounds like you're somewhere in my past. So you were flying for the Alliance?
no subject
I was just promoted to Phoenix Squadron Leader a few weeks ago.

Congratulations! You must be quite the pilot.

[Vacations usually come with real food, just saying.]
But the Atroma hasn't left a lot of avenues of escape open. Don't get too comfortable, but don't expect to leave tomorrow.
no subject
Oh no, I'm almost never comfortable. [ Especially lately, with the Empire looking for them actively for the first time. ]
