[A woman wearing all black lies face up in her bunk, perfectly still, her arms straight out by her sides. It's impossible to tell if she's breathing or not, but surely she must be, right?

Right?

Watch long enough and you'll see her come alive, shooting straight up with a gasp that becomes a heart-wrenching sob. Tears stream down her face and she rocks back and forth. She's saying something over and over, but the only word that can be heard clearly is "No, no, no." This goes on for a long minute before she really seems to realize where she is.

Or rather, where she is not.]

Cordelia?!

[She scrambles out of the bed and stands in the middle of the room, calling out in her thick Louisiana accent.]

Zoe? .... Myrtle?

[She sinks back on to the bed, clutching her head in her hands, her breathing becoming increasingly labored as she tries to fight the panic.]

Shit, shit, shit. Oh God, please, help me. This ain't right at all.

[Not knowing what else to do, she assumes her prior position, closes her eyes, and starts to chant. Those from Earth might recognize it as Latin.]

Spiritu duce, in me est. [Deep breath.] Spiritu... duce. Spiritu - [Another sob and she rolls over on her side and curls into a fetal position.] No, no. I can't... I can't go back there.

[She shakes her head. No weapons - not physical ones anyway.]

What are you doing? You're not hurt are you?

Not hurt. But there's a bump, right here.

[She taps the bump from the augment.]

It doesn't feel like swelling or injury, though.

[Misty steps closer.]

Can I look? I know a little bit about healing.

[More than a little bit, but hey, let's not get into the magic thing right yet.]

[Okay, she has to think quickly on that. She doesn't know what's going on, and if there is something wrong, getting healed is her highest priority. On the other... It's her head. And if this girl inspects her head, she might find Blake's ears hidden under the bow. Finding out she's a Faunus... She's likely to get blamed for this. So she can't be found out.]

It's okay. If it's a problem, my aura should be able to handle it. We should focus on investigating this area, first.

[Fortunately for Blake, Misty finds that a completely acceptable answer. After all, she can heal her own self too.]

[She rubs at her eyes, all red from crying. It's better now, that someone else is actually here, not just talking through the computer.]

I've never been on a spaceship before, but I'm pretty sure they don't usually look like this.

I've never been held captive on one either.

[The response is totally deadpan.]

If this is really space, anyway.

Whaddya mean? [Her alarm is back.] Where else do you think we are?

I'm not sure. But it would be easier to make us think we are than to really bring us into space.

I didn't even think of that. But couldn't they like... just be really advanced aliens or something?

What would aliens want with us?

We're always looking for aliens ain't we? So why wouldn't they be looking for us too?

You... look for aliens?

I mean, not me personally no, but you know like, NASA and those guys. Some people even say the government got some aliens locked up in New Mexico but I don't know if that's true or not.

I haven't heard of those places. Are those in Atlas?

Oh shit, you must be one of those people from a different planet. [She tilts her head thoughtfully.] Which I guess kinda makes me an alien to you, right? My planet's called Earth.

... Other planets have humans?

[Okay, this is so bizarre. Still, she needs to establish trust here if she wants to get information and survive, so...]

My planet is Remnant.

I know, I thought it was weird too, but apparently there a bunch of different people here from different worlds... sometimes they're Earth, sometimes they're not. So maybe you'll find some other people from Remnant!

If I do, let's hope they're the right people.

Our priorities should be escape and arming ourselves, in that order. Considering everything else, the doors are probably guarded, if they work at all. We need to find another way out.
