[A woman wearing all black lies face up in her bunk, perfectly still, her arms straight out by her sides. It's impossible to tell if she's breathing or not, but surely she must be, right?

Watch long enough and you'll see her come alive, shooting straight up with a gasp that becomes a heart-wrenching sob. Tears stream down her face and she rocks back and forth. She's saying something over and over, but the only word that can be heard clearly is "No, no, no." This goes on for a long minute before she really seems to realize where she is.

Or rather, where she is not.]

Cordelia?!

[She scrambles out of the bed and stands in the middle of the room, calling out in her thick Louisiana accent.]

Zoe? .... Myrtle?

[She sinks back on to the bed, clutching her head in her hands, her breathing becoming increasingly labored as she tries to fight the panic.]

Shit, shit, shit. Oh God, please, help me. This ain't right at all.

[Not knowing what else to do, she assumes her prior position, closes her eyes, and starts to chant. Those from Earth might recognize it as Latin.]

Spiritu duce, in me est. [Deep breath.] Spiritu... duce. Spiritu - [Another sob and she rolls over on her side and curls into a fetal position.] No, no. I can't... I can't go back there.

[At this point, Misty has at least figured out that 1) she's not dead and 2) she's not in hell. So when the little boy pops up on the screen she's better able to get her crying under control.

[Blake had been fully intending to not make any contact with anyone until she had a better understanding of the situation. She wasn't where she was supposed to be, and she needed to get back to her team as fast as possible.

But then, she picks up a faint hint of something... magical about him, and she takes a cautious step back towards the screen. Those witch hunters, they're just regular humans and he's not. [Fenris tends to dismiss newcomers and their ravings. He doesn't especially care that much. They become used to their new lives or they break apart. He has no horse in that race.

[There's something about this guy's aura too, though it's not like Souji's and it's faint, faint, far away. But it's his words that she's drawn to, more than anything else. She draws closer to the screen and ... is that a little bit of a smile trying to peek out there, behind the tears?]

[If there's a way to ping Sam, it's the chant of latin. He of course thinks witchcraft — latin is used by hunters in other areas, but it's not often it's just whipped out in the middle of a room unless it's the beginnings of, likely, a spell. He'd been around Ruby long enough, even learned a little bit about hexes and the like from her.

And while he's not... exactly fond of witches, he's met a rare amount of good.
