This is Ghost-1, calling in. Team - sound off.

[... if they're here. Kanan is showing a rare amount of discretion by saying nothing else. His observations from other new arrivals has given him the intel he needs - it's a holodrama with secret recording devices hidden everywhere. It wasn't your run of the mill Imperial gig. So for now, he was going to avoid drawing attention to himself.

In the meantime, he's on the Marsiva exploring. Rather than stand gaping out the windows at space, he's trying to get a sense of the size of the ship he's on. Unfortunately it's not always easy going in a straight line among twisting and turning hallways and trying to hold numbers in his head is not easy. It would be a shame if he lost his count.]

[ There is both relief and a certain amount of trepidation that comes with hearing this particular voice. On the one hand, she's not totally alone here, and there's no one she trusts more than Kanan. On the other, it makes her worry - about Zeb, Sabine, Ezra, even Chopper. How will they get along, if she and Kanan are both stuck here? ]

I think it's just the two of us.

[ From the Ghost, that is. She's not sure what to make of a much-younger Ahsoka, let alone Obi-Wan Kenobi. ]

[... that voice. At first, he can't place it. But then he has only to think of the holocron and the last time it was played by Ezra. Then he has only to think of a young Caleb Dume pestering a Jedi Master over questions about the Jedi beacon.

He's wary, if only because the last Jedi Master he looked for was a corpse on ice being used to lure in other Jedi.]

That's her. I hope she isn't being too much of a nuisance.

[That's one. He was waiting for the others to sign in, but if there's only two...

He's going to have to really hope Zeb can pull it together. At the very least, he's not alone here.]

... like old times, then. You've heard nothing from the others?

Not at all. I'm sure you two will be able to catch up in no time. In the meanwhile, I'm here for questions, if you like.

[ Obi-Wan, you've barely been here. ]

[Are you really Obi-Wan? What really happened?]

Well, I heard that we're all in the stars of some live holodrama. So how much of a cut do we get as performers?

It depends. How good are you at performing? I imagine, the most tense and dramatic the situation is, the more we benefit from it.

[ Obi-Wan probably has enough money by now. He's brought nothing but drama with him. ]

Looks like.

[ Except, no Ghost, no Chopper, no freedom. ]

This network appears to be limited to this fleet of ships, and I haven't heard from them on it. My regular comm link is down. For now, I have to assume they're back - where we left them.

Well I wouldn't call myself a star, but I've been known to pull off a few good performances in my time. [He did a few numbers as stormtroopers. When it came to his audience - he killed.] Different life, different choices - I could have been big.

[Maybe even a Jedi Master.]

These comms aren't like any I've seen before. [... and certainly not Imperial. Whoever this organization was, they were working well out of traditional Republic or Imperial space.] And I don't remember ever hearing about anyone called the Atroma. You?

No. I think this is something else entirely. [ Hera likes to think she would be able to tell if this was some kind of Imperial trick - this is just so far out of the realm of what she would've considered possible, but then so was what happened on Gorse. It wouldn't be the first time the Empire had surprised her. But there are people here who don't even seem to know what the Empire is. ]

I've been told we might be in a different galaxy altogether. Strange as that sounds - it might be true.

We'll see soon enough.

[ He straightens slightly, folding his arms. ]

My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. And whom do I have the pleasure of talking to?

[Well, if there wasn't any doubt before...]

Kanan Jarrus. Freelance... whatever it is I do. [Which really is just about anything he has to do.] You're the same Obi-Wan from the Clone Wars?

I thought extra-galactic travel was supposed to be impossible.

[And if it was, he would have expected it to... actually be a lot less normal than all this.]

It should be.

[ And yet, and yet. ]

Kanan, there are things about this place that I can't explain. People who shouldn't be here.

The one and the same.

[ Recognition no longer surprises him, at this point. ]

That seems like a very unclear job description.

Well you know, some days I'm a pilot, other days I'm a gunner, then other days I'm dodging Imperial goons. You just never really know when you wake up in the morning.

... I think I might know what you mean. I think it would be better if we could talk in private, though. Are you on the... [A pause as he looks for the name of the ship as he's seen it a few times plastered on the walls.] Marsiva?

[ Imperial . . . Ah, yes, the new corrupt Empire. His expression flickers, but briefly. ]

No. I imagine the galaxy is . . . chaotic right now.

[ A diplomatic answer, though not a decent one. ]

Only if it's a day ending in 'y'. But that's just what I've been doing. What about you?

I'm still fighting the Clone Wars, I'm afraid. I can't say the end is in sight.

[ Because it isn't, and apparently they fail miserably. ]

But I'm sure you're aware of that.

Yeah. Yeah, in private. If there even is such a thing here.

[ She doesn't necessarily trust that they're not under constant surveillance, but at least getting off this network would probably be a good thing. ]

I'm aboard - dropped by the galley for a bite.

I-- What. What?

[Well maybe it was a little strange now that Obi-Wan looked more or less the same as when Kanan was a kid, but a small video feed wasn't enough to lead him to concluding anything like this. At least not unless there was some remote part of the galaxy where Kenobi had become some crazed Jedi stuck across enemy lines fighting battle droids for the last fifteen years, but that seemed incredibly unlikely given his holocron message.]

I'll be by soon.

[And true to his word in some five minutes or so he'll have made his way back to the galley. Although most places would often host an assortment of aliens across the galaxy, Hera stuck out like a sore thumb. It was just as well as he slid in across from her. His smile was warm, though with a touch of raw nerves behind it.]

I hope you picked up enough for the both of us.

[ His surprise is startling. ]

I am still fighting in the Clone Wars. Was that part unclear?
