[Blake has been trying to explore the Marsiva as much as she can, spending a few days watching the network and generally learning as much as she can. It took a while to adjust to the idea of being kidnapped like this, and not being in imminent peril. She doesn't like this, or trust it. But she should play along for now, so she opens up a video to the network.]

Hello. My name is Blake. I understand the basics of what's going on, so I only have a few questions. Is it possible to get our weapons back here, or construct new ones?

I'm also looking for my team. Ruby, Yang, Weiss, if any of you are here, please respond.

...It seems like almost all the ways to make money here involve hunting. There should be some jobs available, but they don't seem to let non-citizens take any jobs involving salt, and that's... almost everything around here.

I think someone managed to make some money by buying some salt and making crafts out of it, but it's hard to tell what level of quality's needed to make money on that.

So I can't get a weapon unless I get money, I can't get money unless I hunt, and I can't hunt unless I get a weapon.

That's... how it goes at first, I'm afraid. You should periodically have money added to your account, but that still takes time that we don't really have any more. You might need to wait until we reach our next destination to get a weapon, by the looks of things.

But we shouldn't need them on the ships, it sounds like?

We shouldn't, no. There's really only been one time where weapons were needed at all, and that was a... special case.

Weapons seem to be the first thing a lot of people ask for, though.

I think that's normal. We've been kidnapped to some strange place that shouldn't even be possible. Most people would want something to help them think they can control their lives after being shown how little control they have. A weapon is the obvious choice.

I'm going to have to disagree there, I think.

What do you mean?

I don't really think... Weapons really give much in the way of control? Like, they help in specific circumstances, but can't they escalate things and make things worse, too? It's fine to have them when you need them, but... I don't think they should be the first step. Especially since we're all here.

I mean... Yes, none of us planned to be here, but at the same time, there are lots of opportunities to grow around here if you start looking for them.

They don't. But it's that feeling that most people would crave. I don't think a kidnapping victim's first priority will usually be to look for the opportunities in it.
