[Blake has been trying to explore the Marsiva as much as she can, spending a few days watching the network and generally learning as much as she can. It took a while to adjust to the idea of being kidnapped like this, and not being in imminent peril. She doesn't like this, or trust it. But she should play along for now, so she opens up a video to the network.]

Hello. My name is Blake. I understand the basics of what's going on, so I only have a few questions. Is it possible to get our weapons back here, or construct new ones?

I'm also looking for my team. Ruby, Yang, Weiss, if any of you are here, please respond.

I haven't seen her in a while, actually. [ Doesn't even know what ship she was assigned to, so he couldn't even check. ] Unless she got eaten by snow monsters or something, which someone would probably have heard about, I have no idea where she's gone.

She's Weiss. Just follow the sound of indignation, and she'll be there.

Well, I haven't heard the sounds of indignation in a while, either. I'm not sure where she's gone off to. Atroma might have put her back home.

[ He sort of shrugs. ] What kind of augment did you get? [ An augment usually tells him more about the person, these days. And it's just like a netnavi to be more worried about the little data box than anything else at first. ]

They can send us back home?

[sorry, Elecman, that's more pressing to her than the augment.]

If they want to. Don't count on it, though. It's pretty useless, like most things here. [ He kind of just shrugs. Like most things, they haven't got a choice in who goes home and who doesn't. ]

That's still good to know. At least now I know it's not just one-way.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. [ He sounds faintly amused. ] By the way, do you like gel textures?

I'm not going to shove jelly in your face or anything, but this seems to be important to people who need to eat. [ As demonstrated by one Joseph Joestar. ] All your basic food supplies are in gel form, unless you're lucky enough to get a ship with a good kitchen upgrade. So...hope you like eating stuff that's textured like that.

You're making it sound like you don't need to eat.

Well, you'd be correct about that, because I don't. It'd be pointless even if I did it for recreational purposes, since I don't even have tastebuds.

How do you not need to eat?

[She's not sure what this guy is, but she doesn't want to rule out 'human in weird makeup with a severe chuuni complex'.]

...I'm an AI in a robot shell. Do you think everything that exists requires food? [ If you ever tell him that, you get to see him puff up like an angry, indignant bird for a minute while he gets over it. Sometimes he forgets that he's not obviously nonhuman either. ]

In a manner of speaking, yes.

But I've never seen a robot that looks as... lifelike as you.

I'm a personalised AI, that's why I look this way. It's pretty easy to design data. [ He's never cared about his appearance; netnavis didn't really place emphasis on that sort of thing. ]

We're common where I come from, but I guess advanced AI aren't a huge thing on a lot of other people's worlds. [ It's weird. ]

But anyway - that's why I don't need to eat. Eat biological material, anyway.

There are some fairly advanced robots where I'm from, but... Nothing like you, no.

[And she's destroyed a ton of those robots personally, but she isn't going to say that part.]

And for those of us who do eat, we get gel.

Well, if you get a good kitchen, I think you get powder too. Pretty exciting, right? [ He doesn't pay too much attention to kitchens... ] I think we're still in range of the ice planet, too, so you can buy other supplies there. But mostly - yeah, it's gel. I made a spaceship model out of it once.
