[ As promised, in a few days time, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan make their way to the markets. They dress warmly, Obi-Wan procuring a thick cloak for himself. It's hard to feel like a Jedi Master without one.

He watches as Ahsoka flits from stall to stall as he lingers behind her, to correct her on her "bargaining" technique. In a way, they resemble a teenager, saddled with a wiser all-knowing uncle. He strokes his beard in light amusement. This is probably what he needed right now, a reassessment of his priorities, the here and now. ]

It never really came up, and I don't like talking about it, anyway.

So... what don't you remember?

Roughly half, maybe a bit more, of my life. But it's not all one continuous missing chunk, it's... bits and pieces throughout. I think I have most of the important events back, that I know of, but most of the littler details, the in-between things... The details I do have are a bit... messy, too.

I know my birthday, but not my age. I know my parents' jobs and personalities, but not their names. I know my best friends, and how we met, but not how we got through some of the... worse events. I know my name, but that's useless, since I use a different one now.

Whoa...

What a mess. How did it happen?

... I'll tell you another time. That part isn't terribly relevant right now.

So-- you're worried that trying anything that might mess with the augments might mess with your memories further?

Might mess up my memories further. I don't want to risk anything happening to the memories I've managed to regain.

Or it might bring out the wrong memories. I've died several times, and none of them were exactly pleasant... I'd rather not panic and say something I shouldn't if that happens.

Or... Maybe it will fabricate memories. From the implant, to keep me docile, or from my own subconscious mind, playing off of my own hopes or ideas or fears.

There's too many ways for this to go wrong with someone already amnesiac.
