[ As promised, in a few days time, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan make their way to the markets. They dress warmly, Obi-Wan procuring a thick cloak for himself. It's hard to feel like a Jedi Master without one.

He watches as Ahsoka flits from stall to stall as he lingers behind her, to correct her on her "bargaining" technique. In a way, they resemble a teenager, saddled with a wiser all-knowing uncle. He strokes his beard in light amusement. This is probably what he needed right now, a reassessment of his priorities, the here and now. ]

[Sorry Obi-Wan, were you saying something? Ahsoka gets distracted from what they were looking at and gravitates over to a food stand, selling frozen salted caramel apples on a stick. She picks one up with delight.]

Obi-Wan! Look!

[ He trails behind her, his arms folded and relaxed. ]

Candied apples? Is that really what you wish to spend your money on?

[ browsing in one of the shops, looking at hunting gloves and scarves ]

[ Ahsoka has wandered, though not too far from Obi-Wan's sight. ]

Winter accessories?

[Some amount of time later, Ahsoka wanders back to where Katniss is standing with Obi-Wan and waves cheerfully.]

[ So, she's been assigned a ship. That's... something. She's not sure what she was expecting, though somehow she's not surprised that no one else from her world is assigned to the same ship, let alone Kanan. She took a quick stock of it - the cock pit, and her bunk, and now she's planetside. No doubt she'll need some supplies.

Obi-Wan and Ahsoka stand out a bit - especially Ahsoka, as there are so few nonhumans here. Hera can feel the strange looks herself, as she browses the stalls, mostly looking at parts and scrap metal, but also glancing through the winter clothes on sale. She has the basics already, from her first trip planetside, but sheesh, is it ever cold. You can't have too many fur-lined gloves in a place like this. She waves and offers Obi-Wan a small smile. ]

I hope you're having better luck than I am.

There is no such thing as luck, I'm afraid.

[ It comes out automatically. It's a common response among younglings to consider "luck" as a factor. ]

Though I can't say I'm looking for much. I'm not in the habit of owning worthwhile possessions.

Well, you know how it goes. You win some, you lose some.

[Ahsoka chuckles.]

Though-- if you're looking for something to cover your lekku, you're outta luck I'm afraid. I already looked. You have to buy a bolt of material and sew it yourself. Or have it tailored, if you have the cash.

[Ahsoka has obviously done the same for herself, with her fur hood obviously altered to cover her montrals snugly. It's a bit of a patchwork job, but it doesn't look too bad.]

[While she's still wearing her usual miniskirt uniform for the cold, she has at least made a concession enough to wear a (still purple) thick coat over it. ... Not that this does anything for her legs, but hey.]

Necessities, nothing more. At least, for my case.

[ Obi-Wan isn't interesting in accumulating objects he would (inevitably) leave behind. ]

[More than a few stalls sell tea - and well, when there's good tea, Stefan isn't far behind. Right as he finishes his purchase, he catches sight of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka.

His smile, although polite before, grows far more genuine as he approaches them.]

Hey. What're you guys looking for?

I'm afraid what I'm searching would hardly be found here. I'm mostly assisting my - [ Padawan, except she's not. ] - friend here in learning some life skills.

Such as the way of the bargain.

Supplies and tech stuff for the ship in case of emergency.

I can't help but feel like we're going to be on the move again soon, so I want to be prepared...

[Allen was out shopping for last minute supplies for his ship, keeping to himself for the most part. A hood covers up his white hair and facial features, possibly as a way to detract attention from himself. Though this might be not very successful, what with a golden metal golem riding on his shoulder. It's quite active too, leaning over sometimes to peer at what Allen's looking at, or flapping its wings. The flapping only gets more intense when they get near one of the food stalls that happen to be near the jedi duo]

Tim, I told you. We find everything on the list and then we can get lunch.

[There's a pause and he seems to linger, looking towards the stall]

Though it does smell good... [nnngh]

[ A probe? No, something alive, though it feels strange with the Force. He squints at it briefly as it flutters around the white-haired boy. He buries his curiosity for now. ]

Why not treat yourself first?

[Ahsoka doesn't recognise Allen-- the only time they talked was over text, after all. Her attention is caught immediately by Tim.]

Whoa. What's that?

I demand ONE COMBINED THREAD! No splitsies!

[Kanan was caught in the middle of his own transaction, which was inevitably going to be some useless sand sculpture he really didn't need. He'd probably give it to Hera though. But then suddenly Ahsoka is behind him and then there's Obi-Wan and suddenly it's Jedis.

Damn. He'd been hoping to avoid this.

He turns around to them and gives them a casual grin.]

Well look at that, if it isn't the whole Jedi order come out to meet and greet.

[... Huh. She hadn't noticed it over the comm, but something about this guy is... odd? But then the sensation is gone as soon as it comes, and Ahsoka shakes her head slightly as if to clear it. Instead, she waves and smiles.]

Nope. Just the one. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not a Jedi.

[She says it pleasantly enough, though.]

[ He frowns lightly. He senses . . . something, though it escapes him before he can put his finger on it. ]

We hardly constitute the entire Jedi order.

[ He drops in behind them because being discrete is dumb. There's a satchel with jangling metal parts on his shoulder and a warm coat on him.

He looks very pleased with himself. ]

I got you both something.

[beardstrokes]

[ He folds his arms under his cloak, bemused. ]

Is it the discovery of patience? Because I've waited years for that one.

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka perks up. Presents!!!]

[ she doesn't recognize obi-wan, but ahsoka is easy enough to spot. katara is in the middle of drinking something blessedly warm, mittens wrapped around a steaming cup, but she moves to hold it carefully in one hand as she raises the other one to wave at the two of them. ]

Hey! Found anything great yet?

Hey yourself.

I haven't found anything I want yet, but Obi-Wan is teaching me how to bargain.

[ Nyssa is in the middle of sampling tea — how she wrangled that one is probably due to how having swords and arrows lends an air of intimidation to her stature. ]

There you are. [ As though it's a capital offence that she and Ahsoka aren't at the same stall at the same time in the marketplace. ] Care to try this? It's rather like jasmine tea of home.
