Who: Ahsoka + Obi-wan and YOU
Broadcast: No
Action: Planet-side
When: 10th of Jan
[ As promised, in a few days time, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan make their way to the markets. They dress warmly, Obi-Wan procuring a thick cloak for himself. It's hard to feel like a Jedi Master without one.
He watches as Ahsoka flits from stall to stall as he lingers behind her, to correct her on her "bargaining" technique. In a way, they resemble a teenager, saddled with a wiser all-knowing uncle. He strokes his beard in light amusement. This is probably what he needed right now, a reassessment of his priorities, the here and now. ]

This is only the first one we've visited since I woke up here. Before that, we were just travelling in space for two months.
[Then, by way of explanation:] ... No hyperdrive.

... Wait, "Stormtrooper"?
no subject
... oh, right. They're after your time.

... Did something happen to the Clone Troopers?

[Thank the Force for that. Even having made his amends with Rex, he could not help but feel a loathing for the clones that had betrayed the Jedi Order - chips or no chips.]

[She gets a funny look on her face-- like she isn't sure how to process that. Even knowing Kanan is from the future, even knowing logically that the war must and will end, even though Ahsoka's wished for nothing more than for it end, it's... weird. Weird to hear it out loud. Fully realised. The war really ends. No more war. No more clones.
Ahsoka suddenly realises she's been quiet slightly longer than is really polite.]
... Sorry. It's just... strange to hear about.

[She hasn't asked, though. The future is such a tricky thing, though, if only because it's his past. He knows it must gnaw at her not to know, but it seems worse for Obi-Wan that he does.]

I can only imagine. You must be, what... [she sizes him up, comparing his apparent age to the year she got from Hera] twelve? Fourteen? In my time. Am I right?

[The levity comes with a certain tightness not there before. He's not just using the words to lighten the mood, but to hide behind them instead.]

Atmosphere for low-lives, maybe. I'll never understand why anyone even goes to those places. And I don't care what you say. Alcohol doesn't even taste good.

[Not that he was a heavy drinker, though in the past when he lived in a flophouse next to a cantina, well... it was hard passing up the free drinks while working for the owner.]

I've never understood the point. Unless it's to gather information.

I don't even want to imagine what a room full of drunk Jedi looks like.
[Oh no. Now she's imagining it.]

[Lightsabers are not tools for the intoxicated.]
no subject
Well. At least then Anakin wouldn't be alone!

Lightsaber mishap, huh?
