[Honestly, this guy looks a little dazed. His head and shoulders are still covered in confetti. He is holding the chocolate-flavoured confection dessert cream. But he has found the kitchen, and it's so . . . lacklustre?

A small grunt, and Ludger tucks a letter away into his jacket pocket. He opens various kitchen cabinets. He closes them. He frowns, and his mouth twists a little. He searches through the cooking implements. He gets the food-dispenser to put out some teriyaki soft-solid, samples it, and almost immediately startles back in horror and surprise. The way he moves looks like someone ready to attack the offending object in front of him, except that he realizes he has no swords on his person, so he can't set it on fire.

Well, so much for that. Ludger lets out a long, worn sigh, then picks up his communication device. His eyes widen when he realizes it was on the whole time, but the sight was probably boring anyway. Still, it's time to initiate that dialogue option. There is a serious problem here, and he isn't going to stop feeling lost and dazed until he can fix it.

So he looks into the communication device head-on, expression serious.]

I need to know where to find the ingredients to make tomato soup.

[Okay, on one hand he could relate to that. It's nice to have a distraction like cooking or piloting in these kinds of situations. But on the other hand...]

...Yeah. Because you seemed like such a nervous wreck before.

[Ludger catches the implication, and he smiles a little and shakes his head. He isn't going to get into the particular lot of emotions that have been circling around him ever since he got here. He is a silent protagonist, not a 'spill your guts' kind.

Instead, he lifts up a spoonful of soup to ask Kaneis if he wants seconds.]

[Wow that's so weird Ludger. Just say "It's nothing" like a good Tales character]

[But oh well. When Ludger raises a spoonful, Kaneis will hold out his bowl]

Sure. Fill her up.

[He isn't going to waste a dialogue option on the sort of thing that caused the entire plot of Tales of the Abyss. Ludger obliges Kaneis, finishes packing up the food (except two bowls worth left to stay warm on the stove for Flora and Lloyd.]

If you or anyone else on the crew has any preferences, I'll be happy to keep them in mind when I work.

[There are, however, some things that are worth the dialogue.]

[Hey. Maybe Abyss lasted way too long but lets be real here: A lot less people died than in your game Ludger gosh]

[But yeah, he's not going to waste a dialogue option and just give a "mhmmm" and a thumbs up with his free hand as he continues eating. Foooood]
