[Having procured a rather impressive array of supplies from the planet and Christmas presents, the kitchen is going to be smelling very good with Nightingale cooking all sorts of nice meat dishes, albeit at very odd hours. Still, if you come to investigate these smells (or the late-night noises, honestly), you should probably watch your head, with dishes and ingredients and whatnot flying around the kitchen to where she needs them at high speeds.

Alternately, you can find her wandering the halls of the ship with an excited little fox from the planet. Seriously, very excited, wanting to get up in everyone's space.

Or I guess if you're after something more peaceful, she can also be found in the cargo bay, fox curled up with her as she works on that guide of hers some more.]

[ Now that she's gotten over her illness, Haruka's been feeling antsy. Crewmates can find her on the bridge, mostly, or in the pilot's seat staring out at the abyss.

Alternatively, it looks like she's about to board a shuttle. Any tagalongs? ]

[ delightful smells coming from the kitchen are surely no cause for alarm. but the continuous clang of pots and pans at such strange hours of the night are - enough that the dark elf eventually decides that it's time to investigate.

lioriley steps into the doorway of the kitchen as an array of vegetables flies past her head. ]

Ah - is everything all right in here? [ surely she did not mean to do that. ]

-- Oh, shit. Are you okay?

[She waves, and everything lands quickly.]

Sorry, none of that hit you, did it? I wasn't paying enough attention.

No, I am fine. [ thankfully, she's short enough to have avoided being hit in the face - or elsewhere - and quickly shakes her head to try and dismiss the woman's concerns. ]

Truthfully, I had thought you might be having some trouble. But it would seem that I was mistaken. [ she glances around the room, noting how it doesn't seem as disastrous as she expected upon hearing the noise and seeing food flying everywhere. ] How did you do that?

Huh- Oh! The flying? It's just wind magic.

[She demonstrates, flicking a finger and causing a nearby bowl to levitate up, carried by a small bit of wind under it.]

Sorry, I don't usually make this much noise. Only when I'm trying to be quiet, I guess.

There is no need to apologize, you did nothing wrong.

[ suddenly, the leylines across the elf's cheeks brighten significantly. she said the magic word. uh... magic. ]

Ah - Have you any other abilities? I am always interested in speaking with other magic users...

[the glow gets her attention, and she makes a note about that, but she doesn't say anything just yet. after all, commenting might be rude.

Still, more magic-users is enough to get her to smile herself, setting the bowl back down.]

I do, but all of my other abilities require a target. Wind is mostly just my spell for being lazy. You do magic, too?

How interesting. [ genuinely interesting! the dark elf nods, leylines still bright, still pulsing in time with what seems to be the beat of her heart. ]

I do. My people are born of magic, and we study it for as long as we live. [ which is a long-fucking-time, ok. ] I myself prefer to heal, where others may prefer to defend, or fight. [ but let's not talk about freaky elf magic just yet. ]

Are your other abilities element based as well?

A healer, huh? I can do a little of that myself, but I don't really have any talent for it. Offensive, elemental magic is my specialty... Especially since I lost most of my spells a while ago.

Fire is my big attacking spell, recently.

You lost most of your spells? I did not think something like that was even possible. [ then again, she doesn't really know how magic in nightingale's world works, so maybe there it is. ] How did that happen, if I may ask?

It's... technically not possible, no. But it's a very complicated story, that I don't like telling sober.

[ despite her obvious curiosity, lioriley relents easily enough and gives the other woman a small nod. ]

Of course. Perhaps we should speak of something else. [ there's plenty of topics to choose from. ] Introductions may be a good start, hm?

[After this week's shuffle, your new member is boarding the ship, looking around curiously as she enters. She raises a hand in greeting to anyone she sees immediately, offering a pleasant smile. Despite the circumstances, she looks altogether composed.]

Hello. My name is Adelina, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[If anyone misses her entrance to the ship, she can be found exploring later on in the day. She understands almost nothing about most of the things she sees, although she assumes a majority are a form of technology far beyond anything she's encountered in her world. You can find her picking up random appliances or other unfamiliar items (the toaster in the kitchen, the tank tops in her locker, a beanbag chair in the library). Someone might want to say something before she touches something that may not be meant to be touched.]

[ she's been through this once before, so there's hardly any surprise when she's suddenly shifted from the marsiva aboard another ship in the fleet. this one, it seems, is much larger than her last - filled with far more people too, from what she can tell just wandering the halls.

the dark elf investigates every open room, maybe knocks on closed doors if she thinks someone is in there and hopes she won't disturb them. all she wants to do is acquaint herself with her new shipmates, introduce herself, maybe get to know them a little better. after all, they are going to be living together so they might as well, right? right.

if she's not wandering, she can be seen ... pretty much everywhere? mostly in the med bay though, poking around to see how well it's stocked (not that she needs it, what with that magical healing and all, but whatever) and all that jazz. she should also probably find out where she's sleeping - for those few moments she does sleep. ]

[ lioriley had planned to check and see if any new members had arrived aboard the bishop after the shuffle. but plans often did go awry with her, as she had been sufficiently distracted while visiting one of her friends aboard another ship earlier in the day. by the time she sees adelina, it's probably after the other woman's been wandering around for a while.

but she makes sure to stop for the unfamiliar face, smiling brightly as she greets her. ]

Hello, Adelina! [ she says softly, lines across her cheeks flickering as she bows her head. ] I am Lioriley - I cannot say I have seen you aboard the Bishop before. Are you a new arrival, or did I happen to miss someone whilst searching previously? [ she would feel terrible if it was the latter. but this ship was so big she's certain she hasn't met everyone. ]

[Well, good for her being composed. Better than having some kind of meltdown over it all. Panic attacks aren't all that great in enclosed spaces. Cheese offers her a big friendly smile in response to her greeting. ]

Hey there, Adelina! I'm Cheese, welcome to the Bishop.

[She makes an effort not to stare, but Lioriley's markings are altogether unfamiliar to her. Her smile doesn't falter as she gives the woman a curtsy in greeting.]

I've only just arrived in this place, you're correct. It's lovely to make your acquaintance.

[As unexpected as it was to see a pony on board this ship, it was even more surprising to hear him talk. It gives her pause for a few moments, though tries not to appear too shocked or confused.]

Cheese? I see. Thank you for the welcome.

[She gives a small curtsy before straightening up.]

Have you been here long?

[She's freezing when she spots Adelina.]

... Hello again.

[She doesn't think to connect it to the way Nightingale seemed to recognize her days earlier, but she notices the hesitation regardless.]

Hello. It appears I've been assigned to your ship.

[She'll find Haruka on her way to the shuttle herself.]

Oh. Going somewhere?

Uh, yeah. Welcome to the Bishop. I guess we've already done the introductions, though...
