the dark elf investigates every open room, maybe knocks on closed doors if she thinks someone is in there and hopes she won't disturb them. all she wants to do is acquaint herself with her new shipmates, introduce herself, maybe get to know them a little better. after all, they are going to be living together so they might as well, right? right.
if she's not wandering, she can be seen ... pretty much everywhere? mostly in the med bay though, poking around to see how well it's stocked (not that she needs it, what with that magical healing and all, but whatever) and all that jazz. she should also probably find out where she's sleeping - for those few moments she does sleep. ]

Hello? [ loud enough for him to hear, hopefully. ]
no subject
... U-uh. Hi. Is the music too loud?

[he motions to the metal workbench.]
You're new to the crew, right?
[but you're so familiar]

she makes sure to look back to him to answer that question though. ]
I am. My name is Lioriley. [ she bows. ]

[ Says a voice from behind the door when Lioriley knocks. The voice doesn't sound put out, either. It's all good. ]

Ah - forgive me if I disturbed you. [ not that she seems perturbed, but still. ] I had hoped to further acquaint myself with my fellow crewmates. There are so many of you, it would seem...

[ Haruka switches off the book she'd been reading on her communicator and stands up. The plate on the door to this room says "therapist's office," but she'd been lounging on the couch, not sitting in the counselor's chair. ] Welcome aboard. The food's all magic, so supplies aren't an issue.
[ As off-putting as that sentence may be, it'd been a concern of hers when she first got here... ]

[ haruka's comment about the supplies has the dark elf chuckling softly, shaking her head. she wasn't that concerned to begin with - mostly because she doesn't need to eat like most people do, and because: ]
Not so new to the Fleet, though. I was here previously, so I had no worries about the supplies. I appreciate your reassurance on the matter, however.

She stands and gestures to the furniture, inviting Lioriley all the way in. She even gets to pick whether she wants the counselor's chair or the counselee's couch. ]

Do not misunderstand, I enjoy my home very much... but there are new things here, new people that I could have never met. [ she motions to haruka. ] Like you, for instance.

[ The look on her face implies she actually means it, too. ]

Oh, hey! Getting a look around the new ship too, huh?
no subject
Indeed. 'Tis quite larger than the one I had been stationed upon during my last stint here.

[Her way of talking sounds so formal. It seems Yang's fellow newcomers were both rather well-mannered compared to her.]

How are you finding it so far?

I mean, as surreal as it is to find out you've been pulled into a new reality, cruising through outer space, it is kind of cool.

[ it always feels weird explaining it aloud, she realizes. ]
I find it very interesting - most do not seem to share such an... optimistic view of our current situation.

I mean, space travel is only theoretical back where I come from. It's being tested, but, so far, there hasn't been much luck. So to suddenly be experiencing it firsthand, well, it's pretty cool. And besides, being glum and sulking may be okay for a little bit at first, but, ultimately, it doesn't get you anywhere. You have to take what comes at you, and do your best to turn things around.
