[After this week's shuffle, your new member is boarding the ship, looking around curiously as she enters. She raises a hand in greeting to anyone she sees immediately, offering a pleasant smile. Despite the circumstances, she looks altogether composed.]

Hello. My name is Adelina, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[If anyone misses her entrance to the ship, she can be found exploring later on in the day. She understands almost nothing about most of the things she sees, although she assumes a majority are a form of technology far beyond anything she's encountered in her world. You can find her picking up random appliances or other unfamiliar items (the toaster in the kitchen, the tank tops in her locker, a beanbag chair in the library). Someone might want to say something before she touches something that may not be meant to be touched.]

[ lioriley had planned to check and see if any new members had arrived aboard the bishop after the shuffle. but plans often did go awry with her, as she had been sufficiently distracted while visiting one of her friends aboard another ship earlier in the day. by the time she sees adelina, it's probably after the other woman's been wandering around for a while.

but she makes sure to stop for the unfamiliar face, smiling brightly as she greets her. ]

Hello, Adelina! [ she says softly, lines across her cheeks flickering as she bows her head. ] I am Lioriley - I cannot say I have seen you aboard the Bishop before. Are you a new arrival, or did I happen to miss someone whilst searching previously? [ she would feel terrible if it was the latter. but this ship was so big she's certain she hasn't met everyone. ]

[She makes an effort not to stare, but Lioriley's markings are altogether unfamiliar to her. Her smile doesn't falter as she gives the woman a curtsy in greeting.]

I've only just arrived in this place, you're correct. It's lovely to make your acquaintance.

[ she honestly wouldn't notice if she was staring. ]

Likewise. How are you fairing so far? I know this ship is... quite large.

I am... adapting. I won't act as though this situation isn't extremely frustrating, but there's no point in getting too upset. I'd rather prepare myself for the moment when escape becomes possible, whenever that may be.

A cool head will do you wonders in such a situation.

[ preparing for the moment to escape, however, does't seem very viable. she doesn't say as much though - doesn't want to discourage her. ]

Until that moment occurs, I would suggest making the best of what has been offered. The Fleet is hardly so bad.

[Well, good for her being composed. Better than having some kind of meltdown over it all. Panic attacks aren't all that great in enclosed spaces. Cheese offers her a big friendly smile in response to her greeting. ]

Hey there, Adelina! I'm Cheese, welcome to the Bishop.

[As unexpected as it was to see a pony on board this ship, it was even more surprising to hear him talk. It gives her pause for a few moments, though tries not to appear too shocked or confused.]

Cheese? I see. Thank you for the welcome.

[She gives a small curtsy before straightening up.]

Have you been here long?

[Oh wow the curtsy. It brings him back memories of Lucrezia, or Anne, and it brings a small, genuine smile to his face. He'd forgotten about the curtsying. Humans. ]

About eight months? It's a pretty awesome ship to be on, if I don't mind saying so myself.

Eight months? That's an awfully long time.

[Just the thought of being held captive here for that long seems maddening, so she finds it even more strange that he seems to be happy about the situation.]

You enjoy it here, then?

I was in another place before here for six. Sooo, all in all it's been a long time since I've seen home.

[Sweet Celestia he misses other ponies. ]

Yeah! I love exploring and now I can explore all kind of worlds! It's amazing.

[She's freezing when she spots Adelina.]

[She doesn't think to connect it to the way Nightingale seemed to recognize her days earlier, but she notices the hesitation regardless.]

Hello. It appears I've been assigned to your ship.

Uh, yeah. Welcome to the Bishop. I guess we've already done the introductions, though...

Yes, we have.

May I ask who the other occupants of this ship are? I'm certain I'll meet them shortly, but even so.

There's a bunch of us, on a rotating roster... I don't have everyone's names down yet, myself.

[ah, the meet-and-greet!!

[hiro doesn't catch her on her initial round, too busy working on maintaining the engine at current, but if she's in the kitchen later, she'll probably find that a short, black-haired teenager has found his way in the room as well. it doesn't take him long to realize she's a new member; they've gotten a lot of those lately.]

... You, uh... looking for something?

[She stops peering into the toaster to turn towards him.]

No, I was trying to understand what this device is meant to do.

[a pause in which she realizes she should introduce herself.]

But more importantly, my name is Adelina. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Oh--uh, it... I'll show you.

[if she doesn't know what it does she's not going to understand the coils heating up and toasting the bread just from him explaining the science behind it.

[he approaches the counter with a smile and goes for bread. that much, at least, they have, after the last planet. groceries were easier than he thought they'd be.]

Nice to meet you, Adelina. I'm Hiro, I'm the captain here.

[She watches with curiosity as he goes to get the bread, but at his introduction she pauses with surprise.]

I hope it isn't rude to ask, but... How old are you, and what duties does the position of captain entail?

[he grins at her in a way that says "i've heard that doubt before."]

I'm fifteen. I was fourteen when I made captain, and... it entails being in charge of the ship. Especially during times of crisis. I'm the engineer here, so I keep the place running smoothly, and since I'm here, the ship has shields. Plus I'm a robotics engineer at home, which means I was making stuff like this even before I got here.

[Yang will likely bump into Adelina, as she herself wanders around the Bishop. Still getting the lay of the ship. She'll wave a friendly greeting when they run into each other.]

Hey! I'm guessing you're also new?

[She waves in return, a more formal gesture followed by a curtsy.]

That is right. Have you also just arrived in this ship?

[Whoa, Yang was quite expecting the formal curtsy there. She doesn't quite know how to respond at first, unsure if she's supposed to give one in return or not. This seemed more like Weiss' kind of greeting. Utlimately, she gives a little, more rigid curtsy of her own, trying to act nonchalant about it.]
