Who: adelina and you!
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: marsiva
When: now
[there's a figure clad in armor slowly stirring on one of the cots in the marsiva. it takes a few moments for her to come to, but when she does, there's a flurry of activity. she reaches for her sword instinctively - but it's gone. she looks around the room quickly, noting how unfamiliar and strange everything looks.
she refuses to lose her calm, though, and so she's heading into the rest of the ship to (hopefully) find some answers after inspecting the place she awoke in. her growing agitation is obvious in the way she moves, though her steps are still graceful and elegant despite the heavy armor. she's not going to panic, but not knowing what's happening or how she might fix it is frustrating. as such, she raises a hand in greeting to the first person she comes across on the marsiva. despite her mounting anger, her voice is polite and pleasant.]
You there. Might I request your help?
[later, she's trying to puzzle out the strange device that is the communicator. this means you're getting an extreme close-up of her face as she looks at it, though the view is rapidly swiveling around as she turns it over, then around, then sideways. what a good introduction.]
How peculiar. I wonder how we're meant to-
[the broadcast ends abruptly, only to resume a few moments later. someone's pushing buttons despite having no idea what they do while muttering aloud to herself.]
—different from anything I've encountered before. I wonder if it's a sorcerer's invention, or perhaps some kind of—
[there she goes again. someone might want to help her out.]

[He offers her a smile, tired but amused.]
Simply a work of advanced science. My name is Remus Lupin; have you figured more of it out yet? It's a little intuitive, but the technology isn't so far from where I'm from, so perhaps not.
video;
Remus? It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Adelina.
[and now on to the more important part of what he's said.]
It's very different from anything I've encountered. Still, I've at least uncovered how to use it to speak to people, which I imagine will be very useful.

[she finds it hard to wrap her head around, honestly, but it's hardly the most important question on her mind.]
As you might expect, there are several things I'm curious about. If you have a few moments to spare, I would appreciate your assistance.

The sound of another voice catches Jilly off guard, and she turns quickly on her heel to face it--but whatever instinctive wariness she has, it's obviously civilian in nature. From her stance to her oversized clothes, it's clear she's not a trained fighter.
Her expression flickers slightly as she takes in what she's seeing, torn between a smile, caution, and confusion. Whomever or whatever she'd expected to find here, it hadn't been a woman in full armor.]
I--maybe?
[she shakes her head quickly] I mean...I'll help if I can, but--
[she fishes her communicator out of a pocket, since it's the only kind of "proof" she has...assuming she wasn't the only one to get a device when she woke] --if you just woke up here, too, I don't think I'll have many more answers.
[action]
Please don't worry about that. Honestly, seeing another person is enough of a relief in itself.
[action]
I'm Jilly.
[action]
[it's hard to say, though; she lost track of time while investigating and speaking to people. it might have been much longer.]
My name is Adelina. It's a pleasure to meet you.
video
Stop spinning it around. Everyone else who is captive like you and I can see what you're doing through the device you're carrying. And I pity if any of them are prone to sea sickness. [Because she may or may be getting a bit of that right now.]
video
You'll forgive me if I have more pressing concerns than any potential sea sick people.

action!
Yeah, I can help - I'm helpful.
[If she noticed him looking at places other than her face it was only because he was trying to figure out if she was hurt somehow. After all, if there was a strain in her voice then he couldn't hear it. Was she carrying herself weirdly then? Too heavily on one side? Was she laying her hand on a particular part of her body, or conspicuously not doing that? But no, she seemed alright.]
action!
Thank you. But before that - are you quite alright?

I'm fine, see? Healed up in the time it took to bring me here. I can't decide if I'm happy about that or not, but I'm thinking not.
no subject
[she's glad to see he's not injured, though, so she lets it rest.]
Why wouldn't you be happy about it?
