Oh, hello. I think I've done this thing right.

[A youngish red head was looking around herself, the interior of the ship clear in the background. She's in some hallways somewhere.]

Well, this is a bit sad to say but, can anyone direct me to the labs? Sorry, I should introduce myself first. Lily Evans here, I guess I'm your new lab support personnel. Blimey if I know what all that entails but, I was always a fair hand at potions.

Right, well then if anyone could be so kind, pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

[ as he totally smoothly cleans up what he's spilled because he totally didn't just do that on camera ]

[ pause ]

[ the name is almost only a whisper. it's familiar to sansa -- but only by hearsay, and only from james potter's mouth. it's enough to make her curious. seven hells, it's enough to uncurl her from her anti-social shell and make a brave attempt to converse with one of the newer additions to the fleet.

[She leaned into the screen as though she could see him better or more that way. Her smile was, well radiant. Here she was in all this strangeness and a dear friend was here!]

Well, I've only just arrived. I was on a ship and then told I'd being crewing on, what's this, the First Breath?

How are you? You look so, different. [Confused but happy sixth year is confused, but happy.]

[Hello this is your Captain walking by; she's tall, lean and muscled. Her left arm is a metal prosthetic cobbled together from odds and ends and tools she found around the ship. At leas, they certainly match the interior. She's headed to the cargo bay for a workout when she passes the redhead, stopping immediately and looking at her with piercing eyes.]

You're new. Welcome to the First Breath.

James and I are on the Paisley-- and time's a bit . . . different here. [He hesitates, but then:] I'm twenty-one, actually, and you . . . are you still in Hogwarts?

[You are not getting the smile Remus got!]

This week, I think. The lack of proper day and night makes it odd. But just a few days. I'm still finding my way. I'm on the First Breath did you know Remus was here?

[Because clearly that was more important.]

I remember getting my owl for school supplies for the coming term. Why?

We're, well not you clearly but I'm about to start seventh year. Will do anyway as soon as summer's over. Petunia being gone and other friends not being here has made it feel a long way off.

Well. For now, I suppose, welcome. There's some things you and I ought to talk about, but nothing particularly pressing. Get settled in, we can talk later.

[And this is your new lab person doing an excellent and valiant effort at not flinching in your presence. Because, you have quite a powerful one. She never thought anyone could make her snap to more than Professor McGonagall.]

I am yes, ma'am. Thank you.

[Was she supposed to curtsy or wave or salute or something? She was buggered on knowing protocol for this so she just stood straight and polite and silent until otherwise indicated.]

Oh, hello!

[Lily offered brightly to the woman, her green eyes sparkled with a sort of open warmth.]

I am thanks, {she added more with a soft laugh.] Aside from fouling my directions up. I think this place changes more than, well just need a map is all I guess.

[It's a product of a violent world, and while Furiosa doesn't carry around the need to intimidate, at this point there's a certain level of it that's ingrained; she can't help her bearing anymore.]

[She's not unaware the effect she might have on people, though, and after seeing Lily's posture, she reaches out her right hand - flesh and bone - in greeting.]

Captain Furiosa. Are you settling in alright?

I'd love to, I didn't come with much, still wondering about how personal supplies and all that work. At least I have my wand.

[She pulled it out of the back pocket of her jeans and held it up before returning it. But her face fell suddenly.]

Umm Remus, are the rules the same here, for..you know. What we can do?

[ . . . well, this is going to be a bit more difficult than expected. ]

[ mildly indignant -- of course he knew where remus was, jeez. ]

[Feeling a bit easier about it now she took the woman's hand and shook it in a firm greeting.]

I suppose I'm you're new lab person. Though to be honest I'm not entirely sure what it is I am meant to be doing.

Yes seventh, the term which generally follows sixth.

[She'd seen many a scarred face before, it wasn't something that upset or bothered her. More she was taken with the apparent amusement of his expression. the crinkle round the eyes.]

They are. Most people here know I'm a wizard-- actually, there's quite a few here who have magic themselves. Although their rules are different, it's honestly fascinating.

But we can talk about it and do it without getting into trouble?

[Because that was clearly the important bit, she was still a bit of a goody-two-shoes.]

Yeah. The Ministry isn't present here. We're . . . frankly, we're quite isolated from home, for better or worse.

Well that's a relief, I've been itching to use my wand but wasn't sure it was ok. Do you know, is there a way back? Mum and dad will be missing me, I don't think it would be such bad news for Tuney though.
