Because this place isn't creepy or anything, the camera is zoomed in on the sleeping face a purple woman. Eventually, she stirs in her sleep, than sits up in a daze and looks around in mild confusion.

"Wha? This isn't the temple."

She mainly sounds sleepy and bored, more than panicked or confused. She climbed out of the bunk and wandered around, the camera following discretely, and scratched at herself sleepily.

"Garnet? Pearl? Steven? Where are you guys? Where am I, for that matter?"

Yup, Amethyst sure is raking in those ratings right now guys. Just...give her a minute.

...Well, that's good, at least. Probably.

"Have you looked around? There's not exactly an ocean to steal."

[madeinahole]

"So you WOULD if you could."

This is why we need Steven around. To keep the rest of the Crystal Gems from assuming the worst about gems.

[waterwing]

"I never said that!"

[madeinahole]

"Yeah, but you didn't say you wouldn't."

Now she's just being a brat and she knows it.

[waterwing]

"I'm not going to steal an ocean, Amethyst."

Not without a good reason, anyway.

[madeinahole]

"Not while I got my eye on you you won't."

To make sure there was no confusion, Amethyst pointed to her visible eye with one finger on each hand.

[waterwing]

"As much as you can. We probably won't even be on the same ship."

Or, at least, Lapis hopes they won't be.

[madeinahole]

That would certainly be awkward for Lapis. Fortunately it didn't end up happening, but that's in the future.

"If you think I can't watch you from another space ship you got another thing coming."

There wasn't much else to say on the subject, really, but if she dropped it then they'd get to the 'so now what' stage and that was always awkward.

[waterwing]

"I don't need you to watch me. The Atroma are doing enough of that."

They're always being watched, and that's not a comforting thought.

[madeinahole]

"I guess I'll watch them too?"

She made a helpless face. "I dunno man, I don't feel like I should trust you but this whole thing is so weird that you're almost like a familiar face."

[waterwing]

"I don't feel like I should trust you either."

But...she knew the feeling, too. Not that she's about to admit it out loud.

[madeinahole]

"Well.

That makes sense. I'm not very trustworthy."

[waterwing]

"The fact that you admit it doesn't make it any more reassuring."

[madeinahole]

"I gotta be me."

[waterwing]

"I guess I can't fault you there."
