Because this place isn't creepy or anything, the camera is zoomed in on the sleeping face a purple woman. Eventually, she stirs in her sleep, than sits up in a daze and looks around in mild confusion.

"Wha? This isn't the temple."

She mainly sounds sleepy and bored, more than panicked or confused. She climbed out of the bunk and wandered around, the camera following discretely, and scratched at herself sleepily.

"Garnet? Pearl? Steven? Where are you guys? Where am I, for that matter?"

Yup, Amethyst sure is raking in those ratings right now guys. Just...give her a minute.

Steven what huh?

[Hey look there's a camera following her around. Amethyst peers into the lens until her eye takes up Caesar's entire screen.]

Who are you?

[mylegacy]

Caesar. Which Steven are you looking for. And who are you.

. . . And back up.

[So demanding.]

[madeinahole]

Uh, Steven Universe? Short kid? Curly hair? Likes everyone?

[mylegacy]

Mmm. And what do you want with him?

[madeinahole]

He's my friend. Mind your business, yo.

[mylegacy]

No.

[Well.]

I think it's people's business if someone shows up asking for a kid and won't say why.

[jamminshield]

Steven had been doing something completely unrelated when he heard a familiar voice over the video feed. Immediately, Steven dropped what he was doing and rushed over to look into the feed. Lapis had shown up just days ago. Suddenly, he was getting even luckier...!

His face lit up as he saw her on the video feed, and he began to practically squeal in delight.

"Amethyst! Amethyst, Amethyst! I'm here! And we're... we're all in space! Isn't that great?!"

[madeinahole]

"Oh, there you are."

Okay Steven secured. One problem dealt with, at least.

"Where are you? Where are we? How'd we get here? This place is..."

She looks around. The Marsiva seems pretty cozy, but it's obviously more advanced tech than humans have and, at the same time, LESS advanced than gems have.

"Weird."

[jamminshield]

"It... is pretty weird, isn't it?" But definitely nice compared to the gem ship.

"But, um, we're in outer space! I'm on a ship called the Wonder Duck, aaand you must still be on the Marsiva. Some people called the Atroma brought us here."

He casually shrugs his arms.

"I have no idea how! I'm just so happy to see you, Amethyst!"

[madeinahole]

"Well I am pretty great."

She's really starting to look around now as things start to sink in.

"Atroma, huh? Never heard of 'em."

[jamminshield]

He has no objections to that. But now he looks more thoughtful.

"Pearl never heard of them before either..." And she's the one who had actually been in space.

"Well, they're mysterious guys and... I don't know anything about them. Except that they like making our lives here into reality tv?"

[madeinahole]

"Huh. Always kind of wanted to be on TV..."

After imagining having hundreds of screaming fans for a minute, Amethyst shook herself back to the present.

"Aww that can wait. Where are you? How do I get to the Wonder Duck? Who named that ship?"

[geonomy]

Clay had been hearing people filter in, keeping his communicator open to hear everyone and see if maybe there was someone he knew. He never heard it in all his months here, but that's kind of a good thing anyway.

He doesn't know this voice either, but he does recognize a couple of the names she said. Pearl, Steven... His attention perks up at those names, and he takes the communicator to talk to this new - whoa, purple - person.

"Oh, hey, you know Pearl and Steven?"

[madeinahole]

"Uh, yeah. We're the Crystal Gems. Defenders of Earth and all that junk. Haven't you heard?"

If there are humans around they can't be TOO far from Earth.

[geonomy]

"Well, kind of." He hasn't watched the show heard the whole story or anything, but he got a general idea from being around Pearl a lot and hearing about her world and her friends. "Pearl and Steven are both friends of mine, so I heard about... some of it from them?"

He gives a smile and a little two-fingered salute from his visor as he says cheerily in greeting, "I'm Clay Terran. And - uh, which Crystal Gem are you?"

[madeinahole]

There's something OFF about this conversation that she can't quite put her finger on what it is. Maybe it has to do with being in another dimension or at least so far from home as she might as well be.

"Sup Clay, I'm Amethyst. The cool one."

[geonomy]

Yeah, he should've known she was some kind of purple gem... but then again, Clay's not really well-versed in crystals either.

"Ha, the cool one, got it. I'll keep that in mind!"

But now, on to other thing, such as where exactly she is and all that. "So," he starts as he rubs at his neck, "do you know anything about this place?" It was always so awkward, giving the rundown to new people. Surprise, you've been kidnapped for reality TV! Who wants to hear that from anyone?

[madeinahole]

"Steven explained it. It's weird but it sounds kinda fun, y'know? It's like a big game."

And she was going to play to win.

...Another Crystal Gem.

While there were certainly others she would be less thrilled to see join the fleet - any of the Gems who had brought her back to Earth, for example - Lapis can't say she's especially thrilled to see Amethyst arrive. Old habits die hard, and the Crystal Gems make her...jumpy. Suspicious. But...

They're Steven's friends. They were responsible for protecting him - and they seemed to do a better job of doing it than her, even if they had let him be taken here, too.

"...You're on a spaceship, and before you ask, the Homeworld Gems aren't responsible for this." So she had been told, anyway.

[madeinahole]

Hey it's that one gem Steven found. Wasn't she supposed to be stuck at the bottom of the ocean? This whole situation didn't make a lick of sense.

"I figured. Homeworld Gems got way classier digs than these."

[waterwing]

"That's...one way of putting it." Lapis sighs. "Has someone told you what's going on here yet?"

She doesn't want to waste the time if she doesn't need to.

[madeinahole]

Non-committal hand waggle.

"Eh. Sort of. Reality TV. Lost in space. Etc etc."

[waterwing]

Lapis only has any idea what Amethyst is talking about because that's exactly what she was told herself.

She nods. "You don't seem very concerned about being here."

[madeinahole]

"Well I mean I could be all freaking out right now, but that'd be kind of a waste of energy."

She shrugged.

"Also we're the Crystal Gems. Weird stuff happens to us all the time. We'll figure it out."
