[A wholly pleasant smile appears on the network. While the face it's attached to is . . . reptilian, to say the least, at least the smile is friendly. Prominent ridges outline Garak's cheekbones and where a human's eyebrows would be; his black hair is neatly combed back from his face.]

I wonder . . . while the planet below is quite charming, I find myself rather disliking the temperature. And while I can amuse myself with embroidery, I find myself wanting nothing more than a good book. Do any of you have recommendations? I'm somewhat familiar with Terran literature; a friend of mine even says I have a favorite genre: realistic fiction, if that's any help.

[A beat. He cuts off the feed and adds to the members of the Red Fish:]

Well, I do find the fact that this is not the only world that I've been imprisoned on to be of particular interest.

I haven't seen my true home in quite some time.

Nor have I. Rather unfortunate, isn't it? Tell me of your home, that sounds a far cheerier topic.

[they could change the subject and Tek could share about his home... or he could try to sate his own curiosity first.]

Well... might I first ask if you mean that you were pulled from your world in something like this before... [kind of gesturing around himself to indicate the Fleet as a whole] ...Or do you mean something more mundane?

Good point. ...I don't know what to say about my home that would be very interesting, however.

We haven't come close to achieving the level of technology that I've since seen on other worlds, if that counts.

Is it a hot or cold planet? Do you prefer humidity or dryness? Do your people enjoy stories told verbally or through film?

[he runs right through all the questions, because--as he said--he is just so generous and gracious.]

Both-- though my family in particular comes from a very wet climate, and that is what I prefer. Also, we have no film, so... stories it is.

Mm. I do enjoy a good story, I must admit-- technology is the trend, but there's nothing like speaking person to person.

[--oh, his eyes do glitter a little at that.]

There's nothing like it in the world. ...I must admit that I hold quite a fondness for them.

Mm. Quite possibly we can meet on the planet and indulge in it.
