[Wasn't much work to be had in the labs so Lily had busied herself with trying ti be useful. Today that entailed cooking. She was still learning about the newer foodstuffs. but most of the dry stores were easy enough to work with. After a few hours and no small amount of adding this and that she'd made a decent vegetable stew and a low, dense bread. Ingredients were not entirely plentiful but she could make do with this for a while.

She had finished the meal and set it and some bowls out for the crew before she started clean up. Her wand made that significantly easier, while she hummed to herself and swept the floor, dishes began to march themselves over to the cleaning unit.]

[ North had taken on it on himself since his arrival to try and cook at least one meal a day, but it looked—and smelled!—like the newcomer had done pretty well about figuring out how to make something out of the available ingredients. North entered the mess and glanced over the spread. ]

Looks like that venison we caught when we made planetfall came in handy. Smells good.

Hello. [She beamed at the man, all deep red hair and startlingly green eyes over that smile. She leaned the broom aside and used a towel to clean her hands.] Well it's not much but I think it's not too bad. It's fresh and warm and homemade which always counts for something I think.

[She held out her now clean hand to him.] Lily Evans.

I'm North. [ Using the pseudonym is all but second-nature to him now, especially finding himself in this new place after so long under the Dome. He takes her hand and shakes it firmly. ]

You don't have to worry about cleaning if you cooked. I'm sure we can work out a rotation since we don't have a cook, but I don't want you—oranyone—to get overwhelmed.

[Oh, so they were working as a team in that too? Nice to know. Still she let the dishes do themselves, magic was handy like that.]

Well, thank you. [ He does notice the dishes washing themselves—not something he's privileged to see every day. He glances in their direction. ] Are you doing that?
