[ he takes a long breath, before moving to go flop into a seat. ]

She was Allison's best friend.

[ and honestly, it's hard for her to remember that Allison died. Aather does weird things about that ]

Oh. She must miss her?

Yeah. Everyone does.

[ he puffs a little air into his cheeks, looking up at nova. if anything, he just seems kind of lost. ]

She's in Eichen House for some reason. I, uh - I don't think I told you about that place.

You didn't.

You didn't really tell me much about her, either.

I spent like, half of my life totally obsessed with her.

[ he's leaning forward, elbows on the table, forehead held in his hands. ]

Kind of pathetic looking back on it, but there you go.

[ puts her hands on his forearms ]

Well, she has to be at least kind of cool if that's the case.

[evildetector]

She's one of the most amazing people I've ever met.

[ he starts slightly when she puts her hands on his arms, before glancing up at her. ]

I mean, I'm not-- I'm past the whole 'obsession' thing. She's my friend. Just in case you were worried. Not that I think you would be.

I'm pretty sure I could take her out, anyway.

[ a deadpan attempt at a joke? ]

[ and stiles will just give her a momentarily blank look, because - pardon him. this is Serious Shit Happening, but his mind is still going to briefly take him to a world where two women as attractive as katniss everdeen and lydia martin would actually brawl over him.











he snaps out of it. ]

Yeah, but that's nothing against her. I'd bet on you against most grown men.

Anyway. I don't really care about that. I mean, I would care if it became a thing. But it didn't really come to mind.

Why are you literally the coolest girl ever.

[ and if she'll let him, he's going to try to pull her down for a quick and grateful kiss. ]

[ he leans back, watching her. ]

So, um, Eichen House. I told you a little about the Nogitsune, right? The- thing I had in me.

I was dangerous, you know? [ he's fidgeting a little, suddenly uncomfortable with his own memories here. ] My mom died of a degenerative disease, and I thought the same thing was happening to me. So I made my dad lock me up.

[ he takes a breath. ]

I just really didn't want to hurt anybody.

[takeabow]

[ she looks a little taken aback— not because of the decision he made, but that he was put in that situation ]

So... it's a detainment facility?

[evildetector]

It's, uh. A facility for the mentally unwell. It's supposed to be a place where people can get help, in theory.

[ he's studying his own hands, flexing his fingers uneasily. ]

[takeabow]

...But it comes up short on what it promises, huh.

[evildetector]

It was kind of a nightmare. Um. Literally, I guess.

[ another breath. ]

It's complicated, but - yeah. It's also kind of- [ to himself: ] How do I even explain this? [ he shakes his head. ] So, you know how Scott's a werewolf, right.

[takeabow]

Yeah.

Isaac is too?

[evildetector]

Yeah. And Scott's girlfriend Kira - she's a kitsune. Lydia's a banshee. There's a lot more than just werewolves running around at home.

[takeabow]

There was a kitsune persona at Aather... But I don't know the other one. The one that Lydia is.

[evildetector]

She's... really good at finding dead things.

[ he's still looking at his hands, trapped for now in his own head. ]

But that place, Eichen House - it was kind of a prison for supernatural creatures that weren't willing to play by the rules.
