[ The video feed opens with a very irritable-looking blonde. She pinches the bridge of her nose for a moment, summoning the will to not just scream at everyone over the network ... and then there's a very long-suffering sigh as she looks up at the camera. ]

All right. Fine. I shouldn't have to say this, but since apparently some of you have serious issues and don't understand how creepy and perverted you're being, I'm going to.

I'm sure most of you remember the media files we got after that whole episode with the Marsiva. If you don't, everyone had some files uploaded to the network that were ... things from their home world? Things they might like? I don't know, something like that.

Anyways, I don't know why people keep nosing around in my file, but whatever. You're curious, I get it, they're public files, whatever. But whoever started PASSING THE DAMN THING AROUND to strangers needs to find a hobby. And stop before you send it to an actual child's mailbox! It's inappropriate!

[ She huffs, her fists clenched at her sides after that little bit of ranting. ]

And for the record, no, I don't enjoy that piece of crap, someone from my world happened to write it, and I guess Atroma thought it would be funny to give it to me.

Just -- find something better to do with your time, all right? Don't make me hunt you down. [ Is there a way to do that? She has no idea, but she'll act like she does! ]

Yep! Well, it was mostly when he was younger. He was a one man band, and it was really cool! And it's how he met my mom!

Oh yeah? Was she a fan of his?

Welll at first she didn't know anything about him! She just showed up at a concert he had near where she lived... I think she must have just been curious. But once she heard him play, she was definitely a fan!

[A beat and then she adds.]

Oh, and she was the only person who showed up at that concert! [He chuckles nostalgically.] Dad's told me that one a million times.

[ She can't help but laugh a little, too. ]

Good thing she was there to keep him company, then. You must miss them a lot, huh?

Yeah... It was good!

[But then he shuffles a little sadly in place - there's no use hiding it.]

But you're right. I... I never actually met my mom for reals, but me and Dad? I've never been apart from him for this long. It's really... weird. [And sad.]

Yeah. I'm the same way! My mom died when I was a baby, but I haven't seen my dad in a very long time, even though we used to see each other almost every day.

[ She'll leave out the part where he's dead too, lmao. ]

I'm sure if he could see you now, your dad would be very excited about all the fun adventures you've been able to go on here.

[Ha ha... ha... ha...

He didn't realize had that much in common with her! Well, he doubts that Ino's mom gave up her physical form to bring her into the world, but this is probably as close as it gets with most humans.]

So... we're alike. [It's partly a sad thing to share, but a light smile still grows on Steven's face as he says that.] I didn't know we had so much in common!

[And he nods, his smile growing wider as he thinks about what Dad would think.]

I know, he'd love it up here! He really loves outer space, and that was in a lot of his songs! He really would be proud... but I wish he'd be here with me too. Then all these adventures would be even more fun!

[ NO HER MOM DEFINITELY DID NOT DO THAT. ]

Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it? [ It's safe enough here, she thinks, for it to be all right to wish for someone to be here. ] Well, hopefully both of our dads will show up one day. Then we can tell them all about all of the cool things we've seen and done since we saw them last!

[Steven goes on with an animated excitement.]

I hope so too. That would be so cool! We could definitely tell them all of those things! And... and then when we get to the next planet with them, we can have some kind of father-child wheel barrow race! It'll be awesome!

[ She laughs, because ... imagining her dad doing that with her when she's so old is ... just hilarious. ]

My dad is pretty strong and super fast, you know. I hope your dad is prepared to get his butt kicked.

[Steven just likes to believe that everyone can just roll with doing kid's stuff at any age.]

He's always prepared to have his butt kicked! [He says that confidently, with his eyes closed as if it's something to brag about.

But then he catches himself and tries to backpedal.]

Ummm... I mean, he'll definitely pull through! You'll see! Probably... maybe... a little?

[ She grins ]

Maybe you guys can do a little training beforehand. You know, so he's prepared in the right way.

Good idea, Ino! We'll put together a little boot camp... a space boot camp. Then we can train hard and get even more bonding in. You're a genius!

Hehe, thanks! Who's gonna teach the boot camp, though?

Good point! I was a good motivational speaker and singer last time we tried working out together, but I think we'll need someone... a lot more tougher! I'll have to figure this one out!

I'm sure there'll be someone out there who's an expert on wheelbarrow racing. We just have to find them!

Yeah! Next time we reach a planet, we have to ask around about if there's any wheelbarrow gurus hiding around! Gurus always know where it's at.

[ She laughs a little ]
