[ Are there any quiet corners on this ship? Probably not. But Obi-Wan has found one and is slowly shaping what is soon to be his bo staff. It's slightly longer than his lightsaber and he'll have to get used to the feel of it. Not having a lightsaber and using something else will take a lot of training.

Obi-Wan pauses. New training, new ideas . . . perhaps even a new future. If it was possible.

[It's really not even possible to find a secluded place on this ship when Greed is the tactical officer on board - the ship layout is just glues inside of his mind. So Obi-Wan will find his beloved captain leaning against the wall with that expression he tends to wear when he's bored.]

Yes, but nothing special, I'm afraid. I'm not fond of blasters and my weapon of choice is nowhere to be found.

I'd say I feel your pain, but I have the only weapons I need. [He won't go showing off just yet, but he does tighten one of his fists.] What's your usual?

Something known as a lightsaber. We were rarely parted.

[avaricious]

A sword, huh? Guess you got that in common with this guy. [He jabs a thumb at his chest to indicate Ling.] I've always been a more up and personal kind of guy myself.

[beardstrokes]

This kind of sword was rather invaluable. It could help with almost all kinds of combat. Blaster fire was never a problem with my light saber.

[ He misses it. A lot. ]

Well it's your lucky day, then. See, I happen to know a guy who could put you together a sword - no problem at all. Just as long as you've got the scrap metal first.

[Because while Alphonse isn't making that portal to get home, he's really only good for making shit for Greed to give to other people.]

I'm afraid it cannot be made that easily. It requires a certain crystal that isn't found just anywhere and the blade is infused, concentrated light.

Think of it as a beam of light that can cut down almost anything.

[ Well, she was just visiting to drop off some things for Sasuke, but while she's here, she might be snooping around just a little. She hasn't been on this ship before, so it's kind of interesting.

Also she's pretty sure Greed is up to some nefarious shit.

But she happens across this, and ... hey, that's kind of cool. She wonders if she could get this guy to make Nightingale a staff, too. ]

[ He swings it a bit, testing the grip. ]

[ She watches how he's testing it carefully. He seems pretty adept at it, anyways. ]

Both, actually. My weapon of choice is slightly more elegant. And useful.

This will have to do, though. I rather not deal with swords and blasters. I find them rather uncouth.

[ino]

[ She raises her eyebrows. ]

Must be some weapon if you think swords are uncouth.

[ She may have a short sword on her back. Not that she's really personally attached to it or offended by his opinion or anything, it's just that most people seem to consider the sword the most elegant of weapons. ]

It is known as the lightsaber. It mimics the sword in many ways, but it allows us to move it like one of our own hands. It moves with us, in feeling and in danger.

[ It's why Obi-Wan stresses keeping it close. There's no other weapon that's quite so intuitive to their powers and abilities. ]

... Huh. You know, I think I remember seeing someone arriving here and complaining that a weapon like that was missing. So it's like a sword, but made of light?

[beardstrokes]

In a manner of speaking, yes.

[ Someone complaining about it. ]

It must have been one of the Jedi. Anakin or Ahsoka, certainly.

[ She lights up in recognition. ]

[ Not a very good one, in his mind. ]

I take it you know them as well.

[ He does look like a sensei type to Ino. He's got a beard and everything. ]

Ahsoka came to the girls sleepover party awhile back and we talked about color theory. I just met Anakin a few days ago. He was telling me about "The Force".

Yes, that's a common topic that comes up in conversations lately. Since it is a large part of our lives, we have to explain its existence a lot.
