$1 | video & action.
Who: Fiona Gallagher and you.
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: the Marsiva
When: 1/20
[The camera manages to catch Fiona waking up with an angry yelp before she stumbles furiously out of bed, and off screen. Something like a muffled scream can be heard, but not seen. She's gone for a fair amount of time before she returns to addresse the camera directly.]
[She looks tired, a breath away from haggard. Her voice is harsh.] I feel like my room's been downgraded. What are our coordinates? [She frowns, scratches the back of her neck.] Where are we? And... how long's it been since the fire?
[That out of the way, she relaxes and asks in a more conversational tone:] And has anybody got a smoke? I'm definitely not quitting now. [She rolls her eyes.]
Oh, and Adrien, you owe me a drink. [Muttered:] At least.
[Anyone who wants to find Fiona on the bridge of the Marsiva is welcome to do so! They can find her when she just woke up, when she went off screen to scream into a pillow, or after the message when she'll be spending her time inspecting everything, and trying to find some cigarettes.]

[She runs a hand down her face.] Look, the pyromaniac gene skipped me. I'm sorry if you had some kinda traumatic experience, [From her tone, she clearly thinks this would be a dumb excuse,] with cigarettes. But I could really use one, so let's try to think of the bigger picture, here.
no subject
Of course not in space. But you're on a spaceship. Fires on a spaceship, that's a big problem. So if you have a history of that, it would be nice to know beforehand.
Try and think of the bigger picture.

Good job. How did that work out for you?

[A pause to try and decide if she should care about how much she just revealed about herself.]
[Nah.]
What are you, the fucking fire brigade?
no subject
But it didn't end there so neither does he. ]
You're on a spaceship. Everyone on a spaceship should be their own fire brigade! Or did you miss the part where I said fires on a spaceship is a big deal!?

Thanks. I'm sure you're an expert on after school specials.

he manages to not look exasperated. ]
No, I've been stuck here a month. They let me fly a ship, at least.
[ he gestures at his neck ]
Do you know which one you get?
[ snorts ] Wait, let me guess.
Pest control.
no subject
No, I- [Her expression changes, and for the first time she really takes stock of all the knew knowledge just... residing in her brain now.] I guess I know how to fly a ship now. Jesus. This isn't even the weirdest thing that's happened in the last few months.

[ he manages not to look completely baffled and frustrated at the same time, mostly because he doesn't know what his face should be doing. probably horrified. ]
Oh, that's just great.

And I've been driving since I was nine.
no subject
Guessing you learned the normal way?
no subject
It would be strange if you've never flown before. I got the same augument, I didn't feel anything different for most part.
no subject
Huh. Is that normal?
no subject
Besides, you're pre-spaceflight human brought on-board for someone else's entertainment. That's about as normal as it gets.
no subject
[In a more serious tone,] Someone else's entertainment. I keep seeing that pop up on the network. Not real excited about it.
no subject
Really. You aren't real excited about being on a holodrama.
Join the club with the rest of the crew.

Jesus, you must be popular wherever you come from. Do you do this third degree shit to everybody you talk to?

There's nothing we can do about this situation we're in at the moment. And you're going to see a lot more weird, possibly unpleasant things on the network. The best you can do is try to live and help each other out when there's a call for it.
