Forever.
Sokka will be heading in after a day of working on the station to find the delights of a working kitchen. He's so happy he could die. It can be burned, it can he half cooked, he doesn't care. THEY CAN HAVE ACTUAL FOOD AGAIN. The smell of food brought him into the kitchen, and he beams happily.
...Which given the crappy week he's had, is only a good thing. ]

[It wasn't so much a lack of confidence in being the kitchen as it was getting used to working with unfamiliar ingredients. Those synthetic textures, especially, took some adjustment. Really, most of what she'd tried had turned out perfectly fine. But she was feeling pretty good about this one.]
[As unsettling as Azula's announcement had been, she's really had little reason to be particularly upset since her arrival, so cheery isn't really an unusual mood to find her in, but her grin can't help but widen when Sokka bounds in. His ridiculous enthusiasm was infectious.
Steam rose from the pot on the stove, a dark-colored sauce bubbling lightly around the oh-so-versatile "meat" solid of the day, obviously still cooking. But she'd apparently been anticipating the company, because there might already be two empty bowls sitting on the counter beside the stove. Two guesses who she'd started planning for in advance whenever she'd started making something new.]

Yaknow, we have actual meat you can use too. [He's getting himself a bowl because it's still FOOD. ] Things were a little...crazy when you got here, so I forgot to tell you. The little boxes in the cargo bay are freezers.
[He'll take a seat to enjoy his delicious food. Ugh he's missed actual cooked food. ]
Supplies can run a little low sometimes, though. Depends on if I can hunt on whatever planet we land on.

His news definitely brightens up her smile, though] Oh, thank God. I was kind of bracing to have to accept that was just not something we could get, here.
[No one could compare with Sokka's love of meat and, when it came down to it, Jilly would be grateful for simply having access to steady meals...but after a week on the Marsiva and the handful of days here, she had definitely had at least one dream about cheeseburgers.]

Oh yeah. I mean, sometimes we hit planets that don't have anything useful, but I try and get plenty when we can.
Plus Allen doesn't eat meat which means all the more for us.
