Who: Hakkai and anyone!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: The Marsiva
When: Now!
[Hakkai rises back to consciousness very slowly, with a sense of dread whose source he can't immediately identify. He's cold, all the way down to his bones...but that's not surprising, he remembers, considering where they last were.
His eyes fly open, and he sits up in alarm. Although the fight was over, they were definitely not out of danger yet, wounded and in the open with no shelter. He hadn't thought he'd been so drained from healing Sanzo as to lose consciousness...
...but the surroundings that meet his eyes are definitely not a remote mountainside, and perhaps even more surprisingly, nothing hurts. Did someone find them? How long has he been asleep?
There doesn't seem to be anyone around, but he calls out anyway, a little hesitantly.]
...Is anyone there?
[No helpful villagers - or creepy scientists, as seems a little more likely in this kind of setting - make an immediate appearance, and he's fully healed and recovered from the chi drain of...whenever he was last conscious, so he gets up to look around.]
What sort of place is this...?

[ But when he turns, there's no grouchy priest nearby. Instead, in that direction is a device that he recognizes instantly as a communicator. Despite never having seen such a thing in his life. ] What in the world...?
[ He picks it up, turns it over a little. Yes, he knows how to work the various functions. The knowledge and simultaneous unfamiliarity is a little disorienting, but he shakes his head and moves past it. ] I'm afraid I've only just woken up. Would you mind elaborating a little?
audio;;
[ That's about as elaborate as he can get at the moment. He'll save Hakkai the misfortune of Sanzo trying to figure out how to send the starter's guide he'd gotten. It would only end in frustration. ]
No one else is with you, then. [ He sighs, and Hakkai can surely hear the sound of his robes shifting, then the familiar sound of a cigarette being lit. ]
Which means those idiots are on their own.
audio;;
[ The idea of Gojyo and Goku unsupervised back home is enough to give anyone pause. ] It...seems that way, yes. [ They can take care of themselves; it's their surroundings he'd worry about more than anything. And... ] ...Oh, dear. I do hope they remember to feed Jeep properly.
audio;;
[ That whole 'healing bones' business is a bitch, even with Hakkai to expedite the process. And with how many he had? It would have put a serious dent in their journey. ]
I'm sure someone will.
audio;;
...If nothing else, he'll remind them, certainly... [ Still... ] Any ideas yet on how to find our way out?
audio;;
[ He's contemplative for a few moments before he offers a grunt in reply. ]
Word is that the only way to leave is to 'win' this game.
audio;;
[ This is a headache and a half. ] I suppose it's fortunate, then - I've always had good luck with winning games.
audio;;
[ He scoffs and rolls his eyes, though he knows Hakkai can't see it. It's practically dripping from his words, however. They both know that he's never been a people person. ]
audio;;
Are there any rules they've laid down for us to follow? [ If they know what their captors don't want, that's a step in the right direction, surely... ]
audio;;
Yeah, you think?
[ He pauses to consider. ]
Aside from 'don't kill each other'? None that I can see.
audio;;
Anymore. ]
Well, I suppose we'll have to find our answers as we go.
