[There was a young woman with blue hair passed out on the floor of Marsiva. She looks maybe nineteen or twenty, her clothing seems to be a tad damp, and she shifting occasionally as if having a nightmare of some kind.]

-on't you forget about me..

[The words come out in a mumble against the floor, and maybe it's the way they sound in a spaceshiip that yanks her out of her sleep, but a second later her eyes flare open and she sits up in a shock.]

WAIT I- What? [Whatever she was expecting, the Marvisa was clearly not it, and after a quick, panicked look around, she scrambles to her feet.]

Okay, calm down. Maybe this a good thing. Okay. Okay [She is clearly talking to herself, with no idea anyone is watching. Trying to calm herself down, probably.] Still alive. What does that even...

[She finally seems to have noticed a nearby window and the void of space beyond it because she freezes, then immediately darts over to it, staring out for a long breath, one hand coming up to press against the glass, making sure it was there.]

...What the fuck. Am I in space?!

There's some planets with the not-frozen variety, but yeah, pretty much.

[Suddenly really curious.]

Uh, probably not. It's inside the station. The Marsiva just floats about outside like the second cruddiest prison ever. Sorry.

Of course it is. Another think I can't fucking do until Saturday.

[She just groans.]

I am so bored.

Yeeeeep, the Marsiva pretty much sucks.

We got some Earth movies on board this ship. If you like, I can push my communicator to the screen and you can watch one?

Somebody showed me how to bring a few up on the monitors here. And I've got music on my phone but...

[She sighs.]

I'm in space, yet the only thing I can do is wandering around some hospitality deck?

It's like, excitement followed by nothing.

That's the deal. But once you're out of there, you can go wherever you want, within where the Marsiva is moving. Visit ships, go around the station, whatever. You just gotta serve your time.

Try not to go crazy.

Is there any way to tell where I'm gonna end up?

Usually, we could make an educated guess. I mean, normally there are some spaces left on a few ships.

...But for some reason that's not working right now. The ships are getting overcrowded. So not only could you wind up on literally any ship, but you might not even get a bed.

[Hrm.]

Eh, I've slept in a lot of places without beds.

[Which would sound impressive if it weren't so terribly sad.]

So it's just a complete crapshoot. Great. I need to make friends with a pilot then.

That'll...probably help. Crappy as it is.

[She grins.]

Apparently I'm supposed to be some kind of lab rat.

You sure can. I'm pretty sure my pilot will punch me if I don't endorse her as the best ever, so I'm just gonna put that out there to save myself a headache later.

That's useful! I know the lab folks are usually stretched pretty thin. I'm an engineer myself.

Haha. What makes her better than all the other pilots?

Engineering would've been cool. Lab could be cool too I guess.

Well, she's blind, and she still does it really well.

...So I guess that's a thing.

Engineering is pretty cool. But lab means you get to help people. That's really important.

Heck if I know, I can't bend anything. It's something about being connected to the elements.

Well, she hasn't crashed us into any planets yet, so I'm guessing she's managing it somehow. Bending is weird. I find it's easier to just not try to understand it. It'll only give you a migraine.

But it doesn't...

[Chloe just groans.]
