[For someone who looks like she stepped out of some medieval era, Ciri doesn't seem too alarmed by all the space and technology. It's easy enough for her to figure out how to broadcast, and she peers into the camera for a moment before speaking.]

So, two questions: where can I get a sword, and how exactly are my abilities dampened, here? [Because the first thing she tried to do was teleport back to Skellige, only for a whole lot of nothing to happen. Maybe if she didn't have enemies to demolish she'd actually feel some relief about the fact that what makes her a target for so many people is gone.] I can't be the only one. Someone must be very skilled to figure out how to keep that much control over us.

And... one more thing. I don't suppose any of my companions have found themselves here. [She frowns, brow creasing with worry. It's unlikely. She knows how sudden world-hopping works... or doesn't work. Still, she must try.] Geralt? Yennefer? Triss?

[A voice from a nearby bunk calls over to respond. She's definitely not answering questions, as that would imply something helpful.]

What abilities are you talking about? If you don't specify, people probably can't help.

[percolates]

[She doesn't really want to say anything about teleporting or portals on a broadcoast, but she's got a point.]

Under normal circumstances, I'd be able to get off this ship. Those sorts of abilities.

[moonbay]

We're most likely supposed to not leave, those kind of things are a no go. You got other stuff you can do unrelated to that?

[She sits up now, watching the other woman.] If so, maybe those are active.

[percolates]

... somewhat. I think I can do everything else, just not that. [She was able to teleport a few feet away, just not out. If her powers were gone completely she wouldn't be too upset about it, but if that were to happen, she'd rather be stranded at home.]

It's strange. I've never had an outside source block me like this.

[moonbay]

Sometimes you get used to crap like that. [She gives a shrug.] But hey! At least you have the other stuff-- whatever that is.

That's a decent upside, right?

Certainly. I'd feel best if I had a sword, though.

[She feels naked without it. Oh, well. Perhaps someone will be able to lend her one.]

Like their goal is to make us feel comfortable.

[That gets a chuckle, because really.]

[And comfortable, better than sleeping in the dirt.]

I've slept in better. [She's not exactly disagreeing, but she figured she should make that fact known.]

Yeah, thanks. [Moonbay stands up from the bunk, stretching.]

So, there's only so much to do around here. Any plans?

Pace. Talk to people. [Might as well make friends. They're all in the same... ship.]

Not pace. Probably talk to people.

[She gives a 'heh' sound as she moves towards the cafeteria area.]

[After a moment of deciding whether she wants to follow or not, Ciri figures she has nothing to lose.]

It's nice that they're feeding us.

They kinda have to if they want us to be good entertainment.

[She just grabs a water bottle before plopping on to a seat.]

People starve dogs before throwing them into a pit to fight.

[Just sayin'. Ciri grabs a bottle as well, sitting across from Moonbay.]

Aren't you just a bright ray of sunshine? How do you keep up such a cheery attitude?

[Despite the tone, there's a twitch of a smile playing at the corner of her mouth.]

You should meet some of my friends.

[She's definitely a ray of sunshine compared to Geralt.]

[moonbay]

You're welcome to invite them over to play as long as they bring something to make it worth while.

[She leans back, crossing her boots on the edge of another chair.]

Two of them can open portals, but I suppose that might not work here, either.

[But that's just general magic.]

Doubt it. Maybe a cheese plate. Who doesn't love those?

[She takes a drink from her bottle, making a resigned face.]
