[For someone who looks like she stepped out of some medieval era, Ciri doesn't seem too alarmed by all the space and technology. It's easy enough for her to figure out how to broadcast, and she peers into the camera for a moment before speaking.]

So, two questions: where can I get a sword, and how exactly are my abilities dampened, here? [Because the first thing she tried to do was teleport back to Skellige, only for a whole lot of nothing to happen. Maybe if she didn't have enemies to demolish she'd actually feel some relief about the fact that what makes her a target for so many people is gone.] I can't be the only one. Someone must be very skilled to figure out how to keep that much control over us.

And... one more thing. I don't suppose any of my companions have found themselves here. [She frowns, brow creasing with worry. It's unlikely. She knows how sudden world-hopping works... or doesn't work. Still, she must try.] Geralt? Yennefer? Triss?

Things are about to go hella badly for me, back in Arcadia Bay. Or they already did. I'm not...sure.

[She sucks in a breath and makes an 'mm' sound. Okay. Maybe she wasn't that okay with it.]

[Oh. That... is surprising, and Ciri seems at a loss as to what to do.]

[She leans back against the window she had been looking out. Okay, yeah, definitely not okay. But faking it. Chloe was good at faking it.]

Which I guess is luckier than some people. I mean, I know this is it. None of that 'we might get to go home' false hope I keep seeing people talk about.

It fuckin' sucks otherwise but...eh.

[She may be good at faking it, but Ciri has a hard time believing it. Talking about such grim things does not leave one okay.]

[It's not too hard to guess why the woman is asking.]

[Chloe smiles some, and...well, it's not really a 'friend' smile, but she doesn't seem to have any idea.]

Yeah. My...best friend. She's been stuck here a while, she said.

[Hmm. Ciri smiles, mostly to herself.]

You're better off than most of us, then. Does Max have a unique hair color as well?

Nah. She's a mousy little hipster chick.

[Chloe fishes her phone from her pocket and clicks it on, twisting it around to let Ciri see the background picture on her phone.]

[She has no idea what a hipster is, but she leans in a little to peer at the screen.]

Cute. She must be very important for you to keep a picture of her so close at hand.

[Chloe leans back again, looking at the picture for a moment before she clicks the phone off and slips it back into her pocket.]

Yeah, I guess she is.

I hope you are able to see one another in person soon. It's not the same over devices, is it?

Nah. I mean, it's better than, you know, nothing.

But not the same.

[Right okay this was embarrassing.]

What about you? Any familiar faces yet?

[A pause, and Ciri shakes her head.]

No. Not yet, at any rate, but if anyone I knew was here I'm sure they would have found a way to contact me by now.

[Abruptly, Ciri laughs.]

Me? Never! It's more likely that you'll get sick of me. I'm told I can be quite the brat.
