Who: Uchiha Sasuke+YOU
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Huntress
When: Jan. 31
A few things.
There are a good number of fighters here or people otherwise trained in combat. I'm interested in observing people's abilities or training, or at least discussing what they can do. Spars could also be arranged if you want some exercise.
Secondly, I'll take recommendations for good literature available around here.
Finally, if you know how to knit or crochet then I'll offer you up to ten credits to watch you create something.
[ Yeah, this isn't weird. For anyone interested in action he'll be holed up in his room on the Huntress! ]

Can you actually do all that? It seems as though you'd break, emotionally speaking, sooner or later.
no subject
I suppose I didn't stick to my duties either. [ Again Sasuke sizes up Remus's expression. ] You seem bothered.

Still, personal goals often get in the way of becoming an ideal ninja.
no subject
[But now he has an image of child soldiers, built to be disposable and easily replaced. Which is, frankly, sort of what the Order members are-- they're twenty on average age, and more of them are dying every day. Remus sighs and rubs at his face.]
Sorry. I don't mean to argue your culture.
no subject
Don't misunderstand me. I'm a product of that culture and it molds how I think. However...
I hate my world and the state that it's in.
no subject
[Well. He glances at him, and there's no pleasure at having won the argument.]
I'm sorry. I imagine we're headed that way ourselves, frankly, for as long as this war stretches on, and the prospect . . . it's terrifying.
no subject
You and your comrades will shape what your world becomes now. You can't afford to be terrified.
no subject
[He glances at him, nothing but honesty in his gaze.]
I will do my best, but I'm one man, and I have no idea if I'm going to survive. Quite frankly, the odds aren't good. So while I agree, it's a problem for tomorrow.
no subject
You're in a fortunate position. You have time to prepare while you're here, to gain both knowledge and new strength, and you're already taking advantage of that. It could change everything.
One man can easily change the tides with enough effort.
no subject
What will you do, then, when you return home?
no subject
... that's not so easy to say. I plan to explore the world for myself first, to see what I've missed while fighting for my other goals.

I'll do what I can, but I'm no teacher. I had my own ideas for how the world should be, and they were proven unwise and extreme. My duties now lie with protecting my village in the best ways I can find to as it restructures itself.
no subject
[Perhaps he ought to be nasty, to push on Sasuke the same task Sasuke had pushed on him-- but he can't. He doesn't really want to; it seems exhausting, honestly.]
How large is your village?
no subject
Is that important? It feels like we should instead be talking about your goals and what level of proficiency in different areas you should be striving for before you're sent back to your world.
[ Bravo in trying to free yourself from pressure in this conversation, though. ]
no subject
[Despite himself, he's touched. And a little amused, honestly, if he's being honest. It brings him out of his temporary funk, so well done, Sasuke.]
no subject
[ ... that's more honest than he wanted to be, so he's quick to deflect. ]
Besides, the image of you attempting a push-up is unforgettably bad. [ Well done, Sasuke, indeed. ]
no subject
God forbid I be a stain on your perfect record of pupils. Have you taught anyone else, then?
no subject
no subject
[Should he be complimented? He's going to be, he decides, because he's never going to get a compliment from Sasuke otherwise.]
no subject
[ He's going to have an allergic reaction to this conversation. ]

I'd best stock up on the next planet, then. I'd hate for my training to stop halfway.
