[It starts recording without her realizing it. She's exploring her new surroundings cautiously. She places a hand on one of the cots and then pushes it through as if the cot weren't there at all. She removes her arm and both it and the cot are unharmed. Just testing her powers, don't mind her. She got worried when she realized her claws were missing.

Then she gets a better look at her communicator. It's a different model than she's used to.]

Is this another prison?

[It wouldn't be the first time the AIs sent them to a new facility. A space prison is as fitting as anything else, but there's usually some kind of message about it. This feels different.]

Is anyone from the Defense Force around? [Pause.] Or the X-Men. [She couldn't really be home though could she? In space?] Or anyone. Preferably someone with a light. [She can't find her lighter, but she still has a pack of cigarettes on her.]


(OOC: So, the coloring they used in AoA often makes her hair look reddish or blond, but I doubt the post-apocalyptic reality was really where she was going to start dying it. If you have known a Kitty Pryde, please just assume she looks like her—possibly younger or older. Shorter hair though. <3)

Ohh--so that wasn't my eyes playing tricks then! Is that what you meant by powers?? [ That...makes a lot less sense actually when he thinks it through. But he's not going to say that aloud as he pulls himself to his feet and wipes his nose off on his sleeve. ]

I don't really know any ghosts. Do you?

Not personally... But I've heard they go through stuff like that! Do you decide when it happens?? It's really neat! [ And lonely. Hug :c ]

Thanks. And yes, I'm in control of it. [Moooost of the time. Sometimes it is lonely, but she's usually lonely for other reasons.]

That's so cool... And you don't even have to drink anyone's blood to do it! That's way handier than being a vampire. [ Super powers without all the side-effects... This girl seriously won some sort of genetic lottery where she comes from. ]

[That's one way of putting it.] You have abilities if you drink blood? I thought it was just to stay alive and abilities were kind of part of the package.

[pneumo]

Well...it's kind of like that. But you have to be a fully grown vampire before you're really strong. The first couple of months you're just hungry all the time and super-sensitive to light and sound and stuff.

The more blood you drink when you're still changing, the stronger you'll be when you're done.

Are you fully grown?

[pneumo]

Probably... I did finish teething! But I was never all that hungry. [ So he hasn't drunk nearly so much as a Newborn vampire normally would have. Apparently that slows down the development. ]

Teething? [She just raises an eyebrow. No explanation necessary.]

Do you eat food too? Seems like a shame to miss out on what they have here. [She's being sarcastic and she's going to be sad when it gets even worse on the individual ships.]

[pneumo]

I can still eat meat? But pretty soon my stomach'll stop doing that and it'll be blood only for me. It's part of the whole change and dying thing.

[She'd known some living vampires as well as dead.]

Were you killed? [Seems like such a strange thing to ask a person.] Or was this something you chose?

[pneumo]

About that...I'm not too sure actually. [ Saoirse rubs at the back of his head a little with a shrug. ]

I don't really remember.

You don't remember? Seems kind of significant. It's not like where you put the car keys.

[pneumo]

I'd like to remember, but it's what happens when you become one? No one really remembers much about who they used to be once it happens. I think it's something to do with being dead for a bit. It damages your memory? So when you wake up you don't remember lots about who you used to be.

[ And it's one of the reasons it's so easy for so many people to shirk off their human way of thinking when they change. ]

Oh... [That sounds rough. Or maybe it's the easiest thing in the world because you don't know what you're missing. Has to be hard for whoever is missing you though.] Is your name new to you then?

[pneumo]

Yeah. The family that found me when I woke up gave it to me. Said I looked like a Sascha-type.

[ Most vampires don't actually worry about it. There a rumour that the more one focuses on their new self the stronger they become--and likewise the more one clings to who they were, the weaker they'll turn out. ]

I didn't even know that was a type. Seems like a good name though. [Looking him over.] No one's recognized you?

[pneumo]

Not near where I woke up or since then, nope. [ He shakes his head and scratches the back of it. ]

No one was looking for anyone who looked like me, and no one was missing from the village I went to so... [ He sort of gave up? After finding out what he was. ]

And now you're here. Guess that could be better. [No one to miss?]

[pneumo]

It's pretty weird, but I'm kind of used to not being around people I know all that often. The people who broadcast like you seem a lot more worried. [ Which is sort of his way of asking how she's doing in that regard now. ]

I bet they do. [Acting like she's not one of them.] I heard a lot of frantic messages at the last place.

It's hard leaving unfinished business and people behind. [Not just speaking on their behalf maybe.]

Hmm...I bet. But at least now you're not alone huh? You've got me♥ [ As big of a pain as he is. Sascha's not going anywhere....until the shuffle, anyway. ]
