[It starts recording without her realizing it. She's exploring her new surroundings cautiously. She places a hand on one of the cots and then pushes it through as if the cot weren't there at all. She removes her arm and both it and the cot are unharmed. Just testing her powers, don't mind her. She got worried when she realized her claws were missing.

Then she gets a better look at her communicator. It's a different model than she's used to.]

Is this another prison?

[It wouldn't be the first time the AIs sent them to a new facility. A space prison is as fitting as anything else, but there's usually some kind of message about it. This feels different.]

Is anyone from the Defense Force around? [Pause.] Or the X-Men. [She couldn't really be home though could she? In space?] Or anyone. Preferably someone with a light. [She can't find her lighter, but she still has a pack of cigarettes on her.]

(OOC: So, the coloring they used in AoA often makes her hair look reddish or blond, but I doubt the post-apocalyptic reality was really where she was going to start dying it. If you have known a Kitty Pryde, please just assume she looks like her—possibly younger or older. Shorter hair though. <3)

[With all the excitement of station it was easy to ignore the new comers joining them, and while Remy was aware of them he was doing just that, ignoring them and not bothering to answer back. But she said the key word.] X-Men, hein? There might be one or two, [Or exactly two.] 'round here somewhere. [He kept his sunglasses in place, just for now. For the X-Men he knew his eyes were a dead give away, better to leave that reveal to later until he knew where he stood with this one.]

[Definitely not someone she knows at the prison.

It's been about a year since she's been home and longer since she and the cajun crossed paths directly. The voice and accent are definitely striking a chord, but his hair is a little shorter than she remembers. She wishes she could see his eyes to confirm. How do you even need sunglasses in outer space?

He was the one Magneto sent on a deep space mission and this is space. Did she get sent home but they missed her timeline by a week or so and her address by a star system or two?]

[There was a chuckle to go along with that.] Not quite, but I do know them, they be runnin' 'round here somewhere.

'nd I guess technically... this ain't a prison, though we don't really got the ability to leave this place. Our hosts want to keep up 'round as long as possible. [Before Remy's own curiosity got the better of him and he had to ask.] Who would ya be, petite? [She did look a little familiar, but not enough for Remy to put a finger on who.]

They'll try to tell you it's not a prison, but... it pretty much is.

[Well, that all just confuses her more.]

Kitty Pryde. [Last time she was picked up and dumped into some mysterious world she offered up "Shadowcat" instead for awhile, but that habit was broken long ago.]

Who are you?

[She should probably find all of that more alarming. As it is she takes it in stride, just trying to get her bearings.] Is that why you're in full body armor?

Shadowcat? [After all that was the name he knew her by, and it got a raised brow above his shades before he pulled them off and let them rest on top of his head.] Remy LeBeau, or Gambit, not sure what version ya might know, if 'ny. [It wasn't the first time he had come across mutants from other universes, and not the first where they didn't know who he was. All the better in some ways, never know what reputation his other versions had.] Rogue 'nd Nightcrawler also be 'round here, both from the same universe I be from. [It only seemed fair to answer her original question while he was at it.]

It might be hard to believe, but no... this armor is my real body. It's a long story.

Yeah, Shadowcat. I thought that was you. But you're not an X-Man? [And her streak of meeting other mutants who aren't from her world continues. There's some relief knowing they're here anyway. Wherever here is.]

Probably not as hard to believe as it seems like it should be. My husband's skin turns to metal.

[Huh, not too bad so far, may as well keep going.] Non, I was an Acolyte, I use to fight against the X-Men, but that contract kinda... died off. [Ha, at least he amused himself with that one, Johnny would had been proud.] Was back to freelancin' before I got pulled off onto 'nother planet 'nd thrown 'nto this big mixin' pot of different worlds. Take it ya still with the team, when ya not bein' taken away by aliens, that be.

['Defense Force' is not a thing that Rogue has heard of, but she knows that voice, and she knows that other name pretty darn well.

Which means... alternate universe probably, but she still can't help the instinctive gasp:] Kitty?

I'm here~ [ See? Not alone! Although Sascha doesn't exactly have any sort of light on him he does tend to eavesdrop whenever people start broadcasting, just because it's funny and looks like they're talking to themselves a little.

Even if they're not aware of the broadcasting part. ]

[Acolyte doesn't really mean anything to her in this context.] I've been gone for almost a year. Pulled away by AIs to an underwater prison. [Might as well just throw that out there if they're going to talk about alien abductions, right?] So, wait, you were on another planet before this? And who were you fighting for against the X-Men? [Don't say Apocalypse.]

Careful, people get touchy when you start insuitiating they're prisoners here.

[Or at least they did when Santanico implied as much...granted she was pretty hostile in her accusations, but still.]

Rogue? [Gambit mentioned she was here. She looks different than she expected though. Still decidedly Rogue but maybe a little younger. Definitely different hair and just something in the eyes. It all just boils down to being not her Rogue, but that's not really a surprise anymore.]

That haircut works better for you. [Not that this Rogue knows what it's in comparison to.]

[Here's a blue fuzzy teen elf, looking almost like he saw a ghost. It's been months since he last saw anyone from home either than Rogue and Gambit, and Kitty's has been one of the faces he's missed most of all.

So there's no mistaking this face and this voice... even if she looks different at the same time. Older. And some of those things do not compute. A prison - a Defense Force - a light?! ...Knowing Kitty, clearly she must just mean a flashlight. Yes, that's it.

And now, Kitty will get her second dramatic gasp of the evening.]

...thank... you? [Just. Processing this. Holy cow, what.

There are a lot of differences to take in, and it's always difficult to see one of your closest friends so entirely different. 'Another prison', check; unknown 'Defense Force' that sounds kind of dire, but then most of these team names tend to; and something about her eyes...]

[Remy let out a sympathetic hiss to that before giving her a smile.] That sounds... 'nterestin'. Last place I was stuck in was a town stuck under a dome where we were bein' used as experiments 'nd soldier for our hosts.

[As for her question.] Magneto, [There was a sigh to go along with that, a little on the dramatic side.] Only excuse I got be that he paid well.

[Oh look, a person in person.] So you are.

Taken like me or do you work here? [Is that a thing? Do people work here?]

I was just in a prison. Thought maybe I'd been transferred. [Maybe she shouldn't so freely admit these things. Then again, she's never been that worried about how people see her. Or at least she tries to convince herself it doesn't bother her.] Seems like the name might fit though.

[There is no mistaking who she is looking at and yet...wow. Kitty doesn't do surprised very often, but this is a genuinely surprised sort of stare. No gasping though.]

Kurt. You're younger than me. [It's not even close to the strangest thing she's come across at home and definitely not in the prison, but it's more personal than most of those things.]

Is this a first for you? Seeing someone from another reality? Gambit made it sound common. [As if she's completely fine with seeing friends who don't know who she really is all the time. Well, maybe not all the time, but the Logan who barely recognized her definitely hurt. At least this Rogue is expecting a version of her.]

[It's hard to tell where the video is, except probably somewhere else on the Marsiva. The blue-haired teen doesn't say anything...but she is holding up a lighter between two fingers, smirking.]

[Smokers know what's important, man.]

The prison was under a dome too. Kind of felt like they were experimenting on us. [Trying to make connections that aren't there.]

[She frowns at the Magneto comment.] That jerk has some explaining to do then. I never got paid. [Flippant. She's heard stories before of Magneto being the bad guy. Could it hurt to have at least one other world where she's not alone on this one?]
