[It starts recording without her realizing it. She's exploring her new surroundings cautiously. She places a hand on one of the cots and then pushes it through as if the cot weren't there at all. She removes her arm and both it and the cot are unharmed. Just testing her powers, don't mind her. She got worried when she realized her claws were missing.

Then she gets a better look at her communicator. It's a different model than she's used to.]

Is this another prison?

[It wouldn't be the first time the AIs sent them to a new facility. A space prison is as fitting as anything else, but there's usually some kind of message about it. This feels different.]

Is anyone from the Defense Force around? [Pause.] Or the X-Men. [She couldn't really be home though could she? In space?] Or anyone. Preferably someone with a light. [She can't find her lighter, but she still has a pack of cigarettes on her.]

(OOC: So, the coloring they used in AoA often makes her hair look reddish or blond, but I doubt the post-apocalyptic reality was really where she was going to start dying it. If you have known a Kitty Pryde, please just assume she looks like her—possibly younger or older. Shorter hair though. <3)

It's just science. He's a mutant like me our genetic makeup lets us do different things.

We had people who thought they could do alchemy back in the day though. And I did know a kid who could make all kinds of things happen with what he called alchemy at the prison. Had a real hang up about being called short.

[And Al stops short at that. He takes a few seconds to respond.]

Did he... did he have gold hair, tied up in a braid?

Yes, he's my brother. I knew as soon as you said he hates being called short- that's always been a hangup for him.

Oh... [So that little blond boy named Al would be...him. She isn't sure that's a thing to mention, but she can't really help the momentary surprise or pause.] Well, it's good to meet you, brother-of-Edward. He helped me out with something once, so height issues or not he's good by me.

I'm glad to meet you, too! And that sounds like Brother... he can be rude and ill-tempered, but he just wants to help people.

He seemed like a good guy. Is he here? [Is he also a suit of armor?]

No... there's only one other person from my world here, in fact. I miss Ed- we're rarely apart for long.

I'm sorry. Maybe he'll show. [Always kind of a tricky thing to say in these scenarios. Is it better to want someone abducted with you?] Or maybe you'll get back there.

I keep hoping for either of those. And I've made plenty of good friends here, too, so that's made it easier to be separated.

Good. [She remembers him being young. It's harder to tell now.]

About 5 months now.

Things going okay for you? [She just got here and priority one is getting out, but that urge to protect is a strong one and the kid brother of a guy who helped her out? Yeah, even as a suit of armor she finds herself wanting to watch out for him.]

They are, actually! I was lucky enough to get a really good crew with a good captain. And I'm learning so much about the worlds people come from, and seen things I never imagined were possible.

[She smiles a little.] That's great. I hope the good bits keep up. [The prison could be draining after time with the games the wardens played. This place sounds more straight forward at least.] And thanks for checking in on me.
