Lily's backdated bodacious birthday bash!

Hello! Well I've managed to make a few more cakes than I had thought and there's some food. It isn't necessarily fancy but it's pretty tasty. And it's all for anyone who would like to come over to the first Breath and share in my birthday.

If you gents are up for a night out after all this cake then I was hoping we could see the clubs on the station.

"Well done, already into the birthday flattery." She grinned and waited for the order to pass and her attention returned to Tyrion.

Not quite the on the mark for him, he didn't strike her as snobbish. Well the place was filled with enough lovely women he was sure to have his eye caught by someone.

"Quite, it's very flashy isn't it? And the music is very powerful." The deep base could be felt in the furniture. This was not disco, that was for sure.

"I would not want to fall behind. After all, we have an entire evening of libations and I might be too drunk off my arse to compliment you later." He watched the waitress go, before, he turned back to her with a smle.

"There is a great deal of ... thrumming. Makes one's whole body feel the music." He put his hand on the table, watching the glasses vibrate, before he grinned again. "It's fascinating how they get the sound to do that. I must find out how before we leave."

Another set of women slipped past them, and one or two looked back at Tyrion speculatively. It was ... strange, yet not unwelcome to be considered a sexual curiosity and not a burden, by women. He flashed them a smile and the one with the purple hair tossed him a dimpled smile.

"...And I do love the flash."

"I get the feeling you could be dangerous when you turn your full charm on on woman." She felt lucky she was 'family' now, or he might have charmed her as well. Joking thought at best as he was far too nice and kind for that, and she was far too young.

"Yes I noticed that too, the music is very powerful." She noted that it vibrated her drink and tiny rings formed in it.

Oh, there was the flirtation she had thought she might see, and Lily was beaming with it. This was why she wanted him to come out. He worked entirely too hard and she wanted him to have a night off to enjoy himself.

"It seems keen on you too."

"I don't know - I have never had the opportunity to do so when money has not passed hands." Tyrion stated as he leaned back in his seat, sipping his drink. Lily was far too young, and reminded him all too sharply of Sansa's age. No, he would look for women and not girls. He was no wanton, no matter his reputation.

"Indeed. I shall have to do more studies on it later. It could be useful for the ship." He murmured, although his eyes moved back to where the women were gathering. And looking. At him.

"Mmm, again, perhaps flash is just looking for a free beverage."

"You mean you..." She leaned over and her voice was a thin whisper. "prostitutes?" She could hardly believe that. "Why?" She was honestly baffled.

"Or perhaps flash sees a man well worth her time." Lily nodded firmly. She wouldn't sit here and let Tyrion think badly of himself, there was no reason for it.

"Where I come from, dear Lily, there is not a woman of decent rank or birth who would wish to be married to an ugly little dwarf. They all dream of tall and handsome knights. Like my brother Jaime." He sips his drink, his look faintly brooding, before he smirked, "Oddly, that meant they never would see the ugliness inside of him. Looks over sense? Never a good sign of a good woman."

He looked back at the women, before he lifted a glass at them in salute. They grinned, and one of them waved back. "Well, they are looking at me and not the wine, so that's encouraging."

"Well," She was livid that someone would judge him on so silly a thing as all that. Especially when he was so clearly a good person. "Some of the most beautiful people can have ugly hearts. And often those overlooked for being less initially appealing are wondrous inside."

She felt a little melancholy over that, Sev had been such a person. He was never going to be lithely muscled or handsome int he way girls went for. But he had been her friend, her best friend and so close for so long. She'd long since looked past his exterior until she could see him for his heart. And that was beautiful, at least for a while.

The thought gave her an idea. She looked around for something appropriate and managed to snag a small tumbler off another table nearby and sat it, upside down on theirs. It would do well enough. Lily took out her wand and concentrated on the glass, running the incantation through her mind before she preformed a flourishing figure eight ending in a sharp L shape and whispered something at the glass.

"You see, some people just aren't what they seem outside." She nudged the plain, rather boring even ugly rock over to him. "But the inside is what shines, that's where the worth is." She tipped the glass-turned-rock over and the concave inside sparkled in the light of the club. The amethyst geode wasn't particularly valuable but it illustrated her point well enough.

He gave her a long, silent look, deciding to take another drink rather than answer. She was trying to undo the work of decades, careful mental deconstruction of something she had taken for granted herself.

Until, of ccourse, she sent the glass into a rather ... ugly rock, and not even a full rock but a half rock. He arched an eyebrow at her, until she tipped it over to show the full crystals flashing inside.

Craggy eyebrows rose together, mismatched eyes opened wide. "By the Seven ... " He glanced back at her, his tone dry. "Your point needed props, as well?"

"Sometimes seeing is more powerful than hearing. And it also gives you a rather pretty stone and, unless I am mistaken, flash can attract flash." Give her a little credit Tyrion.

Lily sat back and the purple haired girl caught the sparkle from his side of the table and leaned over for a better look.

He blinked at her, just as she leaned back, the rock caught the light and then ... well. The purple haired girl had returned, her dark eyes bright with interest, "That's an amazing geode -- where did you get it?"

Tyrion, at least, was always quick on his mental feet if nothing else. "From my friend here, the Birthday Girl. We were about to do a round of shots for her special day -- if you and your friends would like to join us?"

Nicely done Tyrion, he capitalized on the situation with quickness and charm. She had to smirk a bit at that. "Please do join us, I'll scoot over for more room."

Lilly moved across the booth to allow the girls to find seats close to Tyrion. They seemed quite taken with the geode as well as the man himself. Lily couldn't be happier and she was beaming like a star. She signaled the waitress over once more. "My friend here was about to order some drinks, but we have new friends and he thought it might be nice if we let them choose." Always make him look dashing and classy, well at least that was how she saw it.

Tyrion gave Lily a little smirk, before he shifted over himself so the ladies could all surround him. They cooed over the geode, before they and Tyrion, looked up at the waitress.

He arched an eyebrow before he waved his hand, "Yes, please ladies ... whatever you like. I am not familiar with the drinks of this world, but ..."

The purple haired lady leaned in, smiling at him brightly. "So, what you're telling me is that you've never had the special here? Neither one of you?"

"I haven't." And she was laughing now, this was going so much better than she had even hoped. And really for Tyrion she hoped this might prove some of what she'd been trying to tell him. His worth was his own to determine, and none of what had been said to him before coming here was necessarily still true of him.

"What is it, exactly?" Before she drank anything she was at least going to ask.

"Neither have I ... and I simply would like to know if there is poison in it?" Tyrion leaned back, giving the purple haired girl a lingering look. Which she returned, before dancing her fingers up his shirt.

"Trust me, I am not going to be poisoning you. Far too interesting for that." She grinned, then tipped her head at Lily, "It's a mixture of different local liquors - mixed in with a little - " and she said something that Tyrion was fairly sure was language.

Well it seemed Tyrion had things well in hand on his own with the ladies. He was not shy and neither were they, Lily blushed to think of how this night could possibly end. She would have to find a way to bow out early and gracefully to give him his freedom.

"I'm sorry, mixed in with a little what? I'm sure if it's the special that it's safe but I would like to know." Or maybe she wouldn't. Who was to say?

He had things well in hand with this particular lady, if nothing else. He would probably make sure that Lily got back to the ship, well escorted and well taken care of.

"Oh that would be ... uhm, like, how you say? Vodka? Perhaps brandy? And of course other Earther liquors? Like ... what is it rum?" She puckered her lips.

Tyrion looked over at her, then back at Lily bemused, "I trust these are liquors you recognize?"

"To be honest I've never really wanted to drink all that much, but yes I have heard of those. It sounds like a potent drink to be honest." She wasn't really that experienced with drinking hard liquor. Her parents had wine on holidays but that was about as much as she'd really tried thus far.

"Why not, ey? It is my birthday after all." Oh was she going to regret this later.

"I see ... well then why don't we have the ... infant versions of these drinks, and if you promise not to take advantage of my virtue and Lily's pocketbook, we shall happily take care of the round." Was Tyrion's smooth response.

The purple haired girl laughed, as well as the other ladies, "Oh no, we're all just for fun here." She leveled her gaze on Tyrion, "All in one way, or another."

She beamed at Lily a moment later, "Besides! Birth years! Always important here. We shall pay, you shall enjoy."

"That's very kind of you." She smiled back to the woman. "And very wise of you." She leaned over to whisper to Tyrion.

"Though I doubt they could tarnish your virtue, unless they are entirely more creative than I give them credit for." She snickered and eased back to her seat.

Tyrion smirked in response, as the purple-haired woman, who finally introduced herself as Rue, and her friends as Biera, Haanan, and Julia, went to order the drinks. He muttered around the rim of his first one.

"They would have to be the gods of imagination and perversion, truth be told. But it would be fun to see." And touch, and experience.

Yes, Lily is definitely going to step out when he and his lady friends decided to further their plans for the evening. But the colorful way in which he worded it had her lost in a fit of giggles.

He gave Lily a wink - honestly, it felt good to have a friend, a female friend, who understood him so well and yet judged him not at all. Lily was a treasure, and he was glad to have met her.
