Hey. [New Flooters, meet your resident weird-looking alien girl.] If you haven't met me yet, my name's Ahsoka Tano.

Starting tomorrow morning at 0700, I'm going to be holding regular guided meditation sessions in the Prayer Room for anyone who wants to learn. Lessons are free of charge and you don't need to know me or ask to come along. I'll be there every morning, so anyone can come as they please. [She figures that might help the anonymous person she promised to teach as well. They don't have to reveal who they are to her if they don't want to.]

I know it's early, but I thought early would be best so that those of you who have to go to work in the morning can make it. Plus, then you can start the day off on a high note! Meditation is a great way to help manage anxiety and stress. It's also proven to improve concentration and clarity of mind.

... In the evenings at 1800, I'll be holding some easy self defense classes in the Iskaulit gym, every Tuesday and Thursday. It's just basic stuff, like how to get away from different kinds of attackers. Don't worry if you think you're too small or not fit enough or whatever. There's a way for everyone.

It is a beginners class, but if you're experienced and want to help out, I'd appreciate any volunteers to partner up with people! Otherwise I'm going to be taking a lot of punches on my own, haha.

[If you simply want to show up to one of Ahsoka's classes, just go ahead. She'll be where she said she'd be! You don't have to show up to the first class, you can handwave going any day of the week. Turn up to a full class, an empty class, it's up to you.

Also, if you have a character who would volunteer to help Ahsoka out with the self defense classes, feel free to just tag into any relevant top levels from beginners if they're relevant to your interests. Don't wait for me to match you up with people, in other words.]

Right. That'd probably be best for everyone involved. Space--all of this--is still rather new to me.

The First Breath. Have you been here before?

The First Breath? Nope! Can't say I have.

But all the ships have the same basic layout. I'll be there in ten minutes.

[True to her word, Ahsoka is piloting a little shuttle into the First Breath docking bay ten minutes later.]

[Ciri may or may not have had her face pressed against the nearest window, nose leaving a smudge.]

[She's chipper. Finally, something to do!]

[Ahsoka is easily as chipper, and Fiona's own good mood is easy to bounce off of. She climbs down from the shuttle with grace, all smiles. There's a sling on her back carrying a variety of... well, wooden sabers.]

Hey! Nice to meet in-person.

[Ahsoka is quite short, once she drops to the ground. The horns give her the illusion of an extra three inches of height, but her actual face is about on par with a 5'4" human. Small.]

[And Ciri's fairly tall herself, heels included. She's not really sure what Ahsoka is--she's a little too good at the whole speaking thing to be a base monster--and decides she doesn't really need to know. The height difference does get a little amused tilt of her head, though.]

Nice to meet you, too. You seemed bigger, on the broadcast.

[She doesn't seem at all bothered by the comment.]

Yeah, I get that a lot. Togruta start their growth spurts later than humans, so we finish growing later than them too. I've got a ways to go yet.

[percolates]

Are... Togruta common, where you're from? Your world? I've never seen anyone like you before.

[She's going to have to get used to all these non-human sorts.]

We're not... uncommon, but we're far from being the most widespread or populous species either. That'd be humans.

But we don't tend to be found very often off our home planet or colony planets, either. Togruta culture is very group-oriented, so-- typically, we don't do well alone. I hear that most who move off-world to more multi-cultural planets like Coruscant find it too isolating.

I'm kind of a special case, since I didn't grow up with my people.

[percolates]

Was it humans that you grew up with, then? [Is that why she doesn't mind Ciri's questions?]

[resnipstance]

Sort of. I grew up in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, which is home to approximately ten thousand Jedi-- the majority of which are humans, but there's a good cross section of almost every sentient, Force-sensitive species in the galaxy represented there.
