Who: Leto Atreides the II
Broadcast: Video
Action: Hospitality Deck, Marsiva
When: Feb 4th
[ The video activates itself to reveal a young man staring into space. His eyes are probably the most startling thing about him. Bright, eerily blue eyes that seem to pierce the fabric of reality. You may also see brown flecks of creatures embedded into his skin, near the neck and face.
And suddenly his gaze snaps back to the camera and he is all smiles and good intentions, as if a switch had been turned on. He sits on one of the many beds on the Marsiva Deck and kicks his legs, caught between the impression of a boy and a man.
( or something much older and far more dangerous ) ]
I do not need the spiel and I'm sure you are all quite thankful for that, but I am curious to know what qualifies as entertainment for our most benevolent hosts?

I kind of can't stand it, really. At least the last planet we docked on had game hunting.
You going to be okay with this?

[ The new one seems miles better. ]
I will be, not to worry. There's very little here that will faze me. In fact, it seems oddly similar to my own universe.

[ genuinely curious ]

The Atroma are . . . somewhere in between. Something new, diverted from the branch of progress I am familiar with.

[ faux shock, but it's kind enough. not mean-spirited ]

They've hidden themselves well. I would not be too surprised if they were vaguely related to our Guild Navigators.

Where were you going?

[ she can't hide the bitterness in her voice ]

[ And there was little else they could do it about it. Their stories were over. They had no more power over the future. ]
So you never returned home.

And I'm still getting memories back at random.
[ it's pretty clear she hasn't really shared this information and emotion with anyone else. Leto is familiar enough with the situation but far enough away it doesn't feel like a burden. ]

[ He did not expect the Atroma to circumvent the Personae's powers. He finds that unlikely. His mind brushes against the possibilities in the river of time but he pulls out immediately. It's too clouded, too uncertain. And he lacks the data. ]
I'm afraid I do not know the answer to that . . . yet. I will let you know when I do.

You left them there? Why?

[ obviously that didn't happen and she's annoyed ]

How does this place let you recover it?

No one has taken out an augment, I imagine. And none of us would have ever seen it. Correct?

[ sardonic ]

Then perhaps the answer does not lie in science but magic. A holy union between the two.

[ He shrugs. ]
I will collect more data first.

Stiles is here, too. I'm not sure who else from Aather.

I . . . think it is only us. Many Bucky Barnes. A Loki. A Thor. Dean Winchester. Pale reflections of the people we knew once.

The Dean thing is weird.
