If I had a lover, I would want to watch them, talk with them, laugh with them, and lie near them. There are many things to do with someone you love.

I was led to believe that people generally look at or watch things that give them joy. But I won't do anything that will make someone uncomfortable.

I understand the distinction between a person and a thing, but will you explain how it applies here? Why is watching a lover play piano different from watching the stars?
