[Waking up in a place he didn't recognise, but knew instantly was nowhere like back home was unfortunately, a familiar feeling.

Waking up without his right arm, also, happened not to be an unfamiliar sensation. The fact that it had been healed, and all of his clothes repaired however, was as new for him as it was pleasant.

Naruto's understanding of the importance of his communicator, and surprisingly - the way it worked hadn't concerned him in the slightest, but it's several hours after his arrival on board the hospitality deck that he finally chooses to direct his attention to it. Fed, watered, and as clued up on what was going on as he could ever be without someone to direct his questions at left him here.

As soon as he starts recording his transmission, he gets right to the point. There's no familiar smile on his face, in fact - he looks bored. Fed up, probably. Their fight had ended, things were supposed to be getting better but now he's here.]

Know there's gotta be someone out there who can tell me what's up. Ain't Adstring, and it ain't Asgard. Who's controllin' everything? Who do we have t'fight this time? Why's it dark out. A guy called Madara didn't try an' steal the moon or something, right?

It is. And no one else from his family is here, so maybe he'll have a chance to heal without being reminded of the past.

rei had been so convinced that this world was another prison, but now that naruto is here -- well. it's a slight amount of cheer and hope she hasn't had in awhile. ]

This place is a lot more peaceful, so far -- there's no Madara, or Lucifer. No Aizen.

[ there's also no toushirou or nathaniel, but now that naruto is here, she can allow herself a little bit of hope that crazy things are possible. ]

I haven't seen any trouble yet.

[It's ironic. Actually, he wonders whether Sasuke might like to have Itachi around now. Maybe. He won't go into it. Doesn't think he'll even bring it up with his friend - because she's right. The past needs to stay where it is.]

Peaceful, huh? That doesn't sound right. [A chuckle. He's used to chaos around every corner by now.]

How long you been here? I mean... you know, on the ships and stuff. You mean it, that nothing's gone bad? No one wants to... I dunno, blow the ship up or take it over or kill a bunch of people?

Not very long -- only two weeks or so. I just got here.

[ and it's just a mark of how ridiculous adstring was that rei doesn't even flinch at his proposition ]

And no, no one's tried anything. I've felt a few people that just... feel wrong, but most people here seem to be content to play the game until something comes up. No villainous bad guys or anything, yet.

[ rei has long since lost the optimism that comes with shoujo super powers -- something bad is always going to happen. ]

I wasn't expecting so many people from Adstringendum here, but -- maybe that's just how the cards fell.

That ain't even that long.

[Which probably sounds awful but-- well, it's the truth.]

You can sense that stuff too? I can't feel anything. Dunno what's up. I mean, I can back home. Just feels kinda fuzzy now.

We gotta make sure no one does anything.

[Maybe those are thoughts for later... when he's a little more settled.]

And I can sense energy -- darkness, mostly, but generally, too, the better I know a person. I can feel when they're coming, and when they're not.

[ she pauses, and continues dryly: ]

I can feel you coming from a mile away.

[ not really, but you have a weird signature, with your weird fucking kurama sprit fox shit ]

Darkness huh? [He could ask her all kinds of questions, he supposes. Right now his focus is clearly on Sasuke, but he knows more about that than he would trust anyone else to. Especially on his behalf.]

Heh. Guess that's true though, right? Bet it feels a lot different, right?

[ but she can tell, without sensing his energy, that naruto has changed. ]

[ for the most part. a lot more world-weary and war-torn, but still pretty much the same. ]

[It's true, and not just because she'll be able to see, and feel just what's changed. Seeing Rei again would be-- really good.]

Sasuke doesn't need babysitting! Well. Unless he's being a baby about something.

Are you really trying to tell me that Uchiha Sasuke doesn't need babysitting?

[Hehe. He's grinning, even if you are using your best Sasuke's boyfriend impression.]

Is he uh-- I mean, he's doing okay?

I think he's overwhelmed by being here, and by so many people knowing who he is.

[ rei is Very Good at reading people, ok ]

He doesn't trust me, but that's to be expected. He doesn't remember anything. But he was willing to talk to me, and willing to listen. I think he just needs the opportunity to settle in before he can really figure out what he wants out of this place.

[Honestly? It's really satisfying to hear Rei say that. He'd hoped that Sasuke would feel similarly to what Rei says, and it's Rei. She wouldn't say something like that unless she believed it.]

He kinda... went through a lot of stuff I guess. I'm glad he talked t'ya. Never really thought he'd ever like being in a place like this. No one does, but-- you know. Not Sasuke.

It sounds like he's been behaving himself, for the most part.

[ rei is nosy, and she's been snooping around. no news of sasuke being an idiot, past normal sasuke stuff. ]

But he also hasn't been here very long. I'm sure he's still trying to deal with what happened in your world. Whatever that is.

[ clearly nothing good, judging from your missing arm, smh ]

[He can't help but laugh. It seems ridiculous that Rei has to say something like that to him, Sasuke had been behaving himself. Miracles. Sure, but... he probably couldn't talk.]

Yeah. He kinda just had a big change of heart, y'know? Don't-- tell him I told you.

You don't have to tell me that, Naruto. Remember?

[ rei can feel intention, and her intuition is very rarely wrong ]

He'll be fine. You don't have to worry. -- and I was joking, about you babysitting him. I'll help, too. Whatever you need.

Yeah, I know. [He forgot] But, I guess he's gotta work out a bunch of stuff now?

[He does nod though. Rei's on his side - it's hard to feel mad at her for anything.]

I'm glad you're here, y'know?

[ and she means that, genuinely -- and she offers him a warm smile. ]

Go talk to Sasuke. I'm sure he's having an overdramatic meltdown.

[ she teases.
