Who: Micah and ... ? (open)
Broadcast: Fleetwide video
Action: On the Marsiva for now.
When: Today!
video.
[See this face? This face is a scowling face.
Micah is decidedly Not Amused about waking up ... wherever this is, clearly not New Zealand, but that's about all he can tell so far. This isn't his phone, but it's clearly some kind of communication device; he tries calling Nathan, then Lazarus - no answer. He tries typing in his string of numbers a few times; the Numbered network doesn't appear, but something does.
OK. This is fine. Deep breaths, Micah. You got this.]
Nathan, Lazarus - if either of you get this, call me back.
[And - well, it can't hurt to ask ... ]
If anyone else wants to clue me in as to what the hell's going on here, that would be great.
action.
[Until he's shuffled onto his own ship, Micah can be found pretty much everywhere on the Marsiva, looking for answers.]

video;
[ a shrug, because what else he is supposed to say? he'll figure it out eventually. ]
Don't plan on going home anytime soon, either. The ship has a bad sense of humor.
video;
Yeah ... thanks.
[He nods, mouth pressed into a thin line. Just because he's less than thrilled with the situation doesn't mean he can't appreciate the effort being made here.]
Kidnapping's a pretty serious offense. If the ship is sentient, I'd say we've got grounds to press charges.
no subject
[ because they've all tried any number of ways to get off of this ship or to contact Atroma, but no dice. ]
Make yourself comfortable.
no subject
[Getting comfortable in space. Not likely.]
You the official welcome wagon around here?
no subject
[ let the guy be angry and uncomfortable. it's not like Isaac has to deal with him complaining, they're on different ships. at least for now. ]
No, nothing official, but I figured it was better than letting you freak out.
no subject
[Micah thinks he's remarkably calm, all things considered. He's worked hard to get to a place where he's able to keep his emotions in check, and the insinuation that he isn't in control stretches him just a little more thin than he'd like. But he takes a deep breath and tamps down the flare of anger, because he can recognize that there's help being offered here, and he does appreciate it.]
Thanks. I'm Micah. You got a name?
no subject
[ the dude seems calm enough, sure, but Isaac is also one of the worst welcoming committees to ever see the Fleet. but it's not for lack of moderately trying! ]
Yeah, I'm Isaac. I've been here a few months, you'll get used to it eventually. This place is pretty weird.
no subject
[Micah just didn't expect it would happen to him. The existence of aliens in undeniable fact in his world; it isn't difficult to imagine that they might decide to start abducting people too.]
Good to meet you, Isaac - well, you know. Under the circumstances. [He offers a thin, grim smile.] What kind of weird do you mean? I think "on a ship in space" qualifies as weird on its own.
no subject
[ he shrugs nonchalantly, like none of these things even phase him now. ] Being in space is pretty cool once you get used to it. But I miss being outside. And real food. I definitely miss the food.
no subject
[Werewolves at least are somewhat common ground.]
You don't have real food here?
no subject
[ he frowns, clearly disgusted. ] Just warning you.
no subject
[It makes sense; if they're in space, it's not exactly like there are farms to be found. He's done with worse before. This is fine.]
Anything else important I should know? Like - are the airlocks pretty easy to recognize? I'd hate to accidentally open one and get myself sucked out into space.
[And, you know. Dead.]
no subject
[ he shrugs, because that's basically what he did in a way. and saved his money to buy some more solid, edible things. ]
You'll get a run through of your ship from the people on it -- not too sure which one you'll be on but they're all different in their own ways.
[action]
Plenty pretty but not what she needs right now as she seeks a table to eat her place of carefully selected plate of healthy-ish food stuffs.]
Is this seat taken?
no subject
Only taken by air, [he says, then glances up from his plate to the voice addressing him.]
Be my guest. [He waves a hand toward the empty chair.]
no subject
Thanks. [She tilts her head to see his own plate mostly untouched. Not that she can blame him.]
Not very good is it?
no subject
[He sighs loudly and sets his spoon down on the plate. Maybe he'll work up to it in a bit here.]
You're new here too?
no subject
Yeah. Does everyone end up here when they wake up?
no subject
He notes the shift in her attention to the left side of his face, and he responds with an almost unconscious shift of his own, a slight turn of his head toward her, a nonverbal dare: go on, get a good look. He's unashamed of the mark left by another man's life, and he won't hesitate to let her know it.]
Seems like that's the case.
[Micah turns toward her fully, hand outstretched to shake.]
I'm Micah.
no subject
She smiles tightly at being caught, but doesn't stop looking. If he's going to let her why not do it? She's never met anyone with such prominent and obvious scarring let alone facial scarring. It's good he isn't ashamed, it kind of suits him in her opinion.]
Ai. Nice to meet you.
[It takes her a beat but she places her hand in his to shake.]
no subject
Satan.]Nice to meet you, Ai.
[His handshake is steady, unflinching, much like Micah himself.]
That's Japanese, right?
no subject
She nods withdrawing her hand.]
Yes. Where are you from?
no subject
[And Locke City, originally, but he doesn't like to claim that one as much. New York is where he made his own life.]
I was visiting some friends in New Zealand before I ended up here, though. Thought about making it permanent. [He shrugs. It's not really important now, is it.]
no subject
[Yes she heard the New Los Angeles thing but maybe the Americans decided to rename the city? Wasn't like she lived there. She twirls her hair around her finger a moment.]
Sounds like this place just sucks.
no subject
[He half-smiles at his own joke.]
Seriously though, New York's pretty cool. Huge, busy. Lots of people. Never a dull moment. Escaped getting damaged too badly in the invasion, too, which is nice, since so many other places got blown to bits.
[He shrugs at her other comment. This place isn't ideal, but whatever. He'll adapt.]
Could be worse.
no subject
Damaged? Invasion?
[That wasn't something normal, and she's pretty sure that was something she would have heard about even in passing on the news.]
video; slides in late with starbucks
No. This guy can't be Numbered too. He'd know (he thinks).]
Lazarus? Like... Lazarus Lawliet?
