Micah is decidedly Not Amused about waking up ... wherever this is, clearly not New Zealand, but that's about all he can tell so far. This isn't his phone, but it's clearly some kind of communication device; he tries calling Nathan, then Lazarus - no answer. He tries typing in his string of numbers a few times; the Numbered network doesn't appear, but something does.

OK. This is fine. Deep breaths, Micah. You got this.]

Nathan, Lazarus - if either of you get this, call me back.

[And - well, it can't hurt to ask ... ]

If anyone else wants to clue me in as to what the hell's going on here, that would be great.

[Well he can't blame her for the worry can he? He brought up dumpster diving like it was the most normal thing ever.

She nods withdrawing her hand.]

Yes. Where are you from?

New Los Angeles, most recently, but New York before that.

[And Locke City, originally, but he doesn't like to claim that one as much. New York is where he made his own life.]

I was visiting some friends in New Zealand before I ended up here, though. Thought about making it permanent. [He shrugs. It's not really important now, is it.]

I always wanted to visit New York, is it as great as it's made out to be?

[Yes she heard the New Los Angeles thing but maybe the Americans decided to rename the city? Wasn't like she lived there. She twirls her hair around her finger a moment.]

Sounds like this place just sucks.

Oh, yeah. It's a hell of a town.

[He half-smiles at his own joke.]

Seriously though, New York's pretty cool. Huge, busy. Lots of people. Never a dull moment. Escaped getting damaged too badly in the invasion, too, which is nice, since so many other places got blown to bits.

[He shrugs at her other comment. This place isn't ideal, but whatever. He'll adapt.]
