It's all good. I don't think I've ever visited this ship before. I usually only make housecalls if somebody wants a photo.

[ she's open and nerdy and somehow both anxious and genial. she kind of doesn't know what to do with her visitor but doesn't want to make her feel unwelcome ]

You're a photographer? Would you like something to drink?

[ She has a small messenger bag at her side, and she fishes for an old-school instant camera to show off. ] Official Fleet Photographer. [ A small pause. ] That's, uh, not actually official.

I'm good on drink for now though, thanks.

Is, uh, Chloe around?

Aww, that's adorable.

And titles aren't anything but just words, anyway.

But I'm not sure. Maybe in the medbay. I can take you there?

[ So Kara does know Chloe. Confirmed. ] Yeah, that'd be great.

'course, I'm also trying to get a look around her ship. Meet her shipmates. [ Make sure they're not a bad influence on Chloe. Or, uh, Chloe's not a bad influence on them.


The latter seems pretty likely with Kara. ]

Oh, are you two friends?

[ curiously, not an interrogation ]

I'm pretty new, but she's even newer. I haven't really gotten to know too many people yet, though.

Yeah. We've known each other since we were, like, little kids. Way before she had blue hair, or either of us were stuck in outer space.

You've at least gotten to know your crew though, right? [ As cramped as things are, it's rather hard to avoid, unless you're purposely holing yourself up in your room.

Or spending your time out on the space station, she guesses. ]

Some are easier to find than others?

[ she hasn't not tried, but the instability of this whole space thing threads through her voice slightly, despite her chipper veneer ]

She had some choice things to say about being blonde.

Well, you have to admit she looks pretty good rocking the blue hair. [ Or maybe it's just you that thinks that Max. ] It makes her easy to spot in a crowd, too.

I didn't say she doesn't, but it may be hard to get some dye to keep it up.

I can't argue with the crowd point, though.

[ Max knew it. Competition! ] Hey, if I can find instant camera film on alien planets, I'm sure Chloe will find a way to scrounge up some hair dye. I mean, I had a hard enough time finding good film back on Earth, so this should be a piece of cake. [ Not that she's. Actually tried to find blue hair dye yet. ]

So anyway, Kara, what's your job on the ship? I know Chloe's the doctor. [ Medicine dispenser more like it. ]

Wait, let me guess. Personnel?

That was a really good guess. How did you know?

[ laughing ]

[ She guessed three times but traveled back in time each time she got the wrong answer. ]

Lucky guess.

But hey, I'm personnel, too.
