Just wondering if you had a theory. I'd certainly ponder it if I lived in a city that was being constantly attacked and needed a super hero, I think.

I would assume the 'shifts'. We had those on my ship. You were either red or yellow, and your night and day were determined by which shift you were on duty and which was your free time.
