[ The video feed turns on to show a red-headed teenage girl just kind of. Sitting up in one of the hospitality deck cots. Her eyes are open, but she's not moving at all. Even breathing, if you're observant enough to notice that sort of thing.

That's because she's still in the process of booting up. A robot like Penny isn't meant to be hard shut-down unless she's getting tuned up, so the process takes a bit. The self-diagnostics don't know what's going on - how is the body fine when it clearly shouldn't be?

Still, after a few moments she does come online.

That's when she seems to snap awake, her eyes widening. ] What- [ She scrambles backwards, falling off of the cot, dragging the sheets with her. She lands with an audible THUD that might suggest she's heavier than her size would indicate.

Eloquent first impression.

Penny peeks up from behind the cot, glancing around, a confused expression on her face. Her databanks don't know where this place is, nor can it even place the architecture. And her sensors pick up SPACE from behind those windows to the side. ] Where is this? [ She's been repaired, but by who? And... HOW? And brought here...?

Is she....? No, this is far too real.

Penny picks herself up, taking another look around. ]

Hello? Is anybody there?

I am beginning to realize that. [ Please don't peruse her other conversations, thank you. ] There seem to be a great many people here. At least, through this. [ Peering into the screen of the communication hub. ]

I haven't bothered to do a census, but yes there are, I believe, seventeen ships in the fleet as of today, each with a full crew. And each of those with their own communications device. [Meaning, you know, a lot of people saw that]

[ Please tell her they do not look through other people's conversations, that would be rude. ]

How many people does it take to crew one of these ships? Are they all as big as this one?

[Sorry to say, he does it often if the subject catches his attention, and statistically speaking there's likely at least one more person here like him in that regard]

The crew ships are substantially smaller than the Marisiva. I think you might be able to see them from there, if you look out the windows. I believe they can technically operate automatically, at a basic level, even without crew, but that's not what you want to know. I'm not sure of the rosters...perhaps if you're more proficient with these devices you can figure that out for yourself...but by now the ships must have crews numbering in at least a half dozen. Probably twice that, as is the case with my own.

It's getting a bit crowded for my taste.

Oh, those are much smaller crews than I was expecting. [ She was expecting numbers somewhat closer to an Atlas airship. ] You say rosters are available on these devices? I've never worked with this technology before, but I might be able to figure it out.

Assuming you don't have the communications augment, you can always ask someone with it to check for you. I am relatively certain they have more ready access to the system than other people.
