2nd Blight - video
Who: Riona and you!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: On the Blue Fish, if you really want
When: Now
[The device is propped up somehow on Riona's bed. It affords a view of her stretched out on said bed, fiddling with a long knife that she picked up on the station. It's sheathed, and she seems to be doing it just to occupy her hands. Don't worry, she's not about to go around threatening anyone with it.
She glances over at the camera and offers a smile.]
It occurred to me this morning that it's been approximately a month since I arrived here. Admittedly, it's put me in a bit of a contemplative mood. Been thinking of the usual: what I'm supposed to be doing right now back home, the people I left behind, my dog...
[She misses his slobbery kisses...]
But fear not, I'm not here to weigh everyone down with me waxing nostalgic and pining for home. As while I was doing that, it also occurred to me that I've learned quite a bit in the few weeks I've been here. Not just about all this technology and whatnot - though I am of the mind that refrigerators are one of the loveliest things ever invented - but with what I've been able to experience and, of course, the people I've been able to meet. Before anyone goes off, I'm not applauding Atroma. They're still a bunch of bastards. It's more like making the best of a... well, weird situation.
So I pose a question to you all: if there is one thing you could take back with you to your world - whether it's a physical object, an experience, a bit of knowledge you've gained, or so on - what would it be? Feel free to take the question as seriously or not as you'd like. I'm curious to see what all of you would be willing to take from our time here.

[Drogo had been a warrior, all long black hair and olive and painted skin. He had ridden a horse as if it was an extension of his body and had used a blade just the same. She missed him so. In quieter moments of reflection when she thought of him she could almost see him in her minds eye, with their silver-haired son in his arms.]

It does not require much strength. I dare say you will not be the warrior your husband is, but by the end of it you'll be able to grievously injure a man who has a wandering hand.
[Let her teach you how to break someone's thumb. It's fun.]
Though - you've never seen a woman fight?
no subject
No. Often the women I have met have either been slaves - young girls or women that were often dominated by men - or too weak to even speak up let alone use their hands.
[It isn't easy when Essos thrives upon slave cities. Women are often made into property or worse.]
Though I have not seen a woman fight with strength, a dear friend of mine - a girl called Misandei - she is incredibly intelligent and has always used that to get her through.
[She admired her so much for that.]

I see.
[Her stomach twists at the thought. Thedas had its share of problems, and it wasn't always perfect for women or how it should be, but luckily that was more the exception than the rule, especially in Ferelden.]
Good, that is to be commended. You should always try to outwit your way out of a bad situation before resorting to violence. [Not that she always did that, but you know. Do as I say, not as I do.]

[She's grinning ear to ear now. Riona you're trouble and she likes you.]

Let's see... [She rattles off some times.] On the Iskaulit. There are open rooms there we could use. If you decide to do it, make sure to come in breeches or pants. Leave the dresses behind.
no subject
May I ask why? About the dresses, I mean.

tmw i almost use Maker instead of Seven Hells
[She was starting to imagine herself getting knocked down a lot. Seven Hells what was she getting into?]
