Okay, so I think I have the money situation figured out here.

We get money by being popular on this "show" and being "ranked" -

_{[ Can everyone hear his continued disbelief of this load of crap they are being fed, but fine he's playing along for the time being. ]}

But we can also get it on the station by offering to do work. Am I right? Which, by the way, just seems like it's adding insult to injury.

So aside from my making a cardboard sign and tacking it up in the space station, I'll set it out here too - I'm generally good with technology and fixing things in general, so if you ever need anything fixed I'm more than happy to get whatever it is you need running again for a fair price.

And if anyone has a recommendation on someplace to get good, cheap clothes on this station, I'd appreciate it. And real food.

_{[ He can only live so long between his uniform and the gray jumpsuit and replicated food items. That buffet on the Blue Fish ruined him to early. There are limits. ]}

_{[ As he said, he made his way down to the space station to see if he can drum up some business and start earning some cash. He hates being a free loader or being put on charity - he just hates being non-useful in general and he's terrible at sitting around and doing nothing. Besides, job hunting might also come with info hunting, so it's two birds with one stone in a sense. So off to find a job and some food that hasn't been replicated. It never tasted the same, no matter how much the product might say otherwise.

One really should not be surprised to see him chatting someone up, male, female, green, tailed, scaled ,or otherwise. It might be equally common for him to be getting slapped, and there's about a 65% chance of catching him in the midst of a bar fight if you find him later in the evening, or leaving in the company of someone. He did mention he had a reputation to keep up, and everyone needed some outlet for dealing with their situation. This was his.

He will try not to look to chagrinned making his way back to the ships come the morning though... ]

Ah, I see. I don't think I could recognize the material on-sight, but I do know there are several styles of clothing that are comfortable. Some are made of lightweight fabrics I'm unfamiliar with.

[ She knows her cloth. A bit hard not to, with the kind of wardrobe she usually has. ]

I may not be able to help you find jeans, but I'll answer whatever questions I can.

Anything I can move around pretty easily in would be fine with me - durable, but not expensive. I don't need anything fancy, to be honest.

It would be a honor to have a knowledgeable lady guide my fashion choices, especially on a strange station such as this.

[ A quiet laugh. ] I would be happy to help. A lot of the fashion on the space station is... somewhat unusual but I've found a few places that have clothing I'm more accustomed to. Hopefully it will be the same for you.

I'm just glad that anything is even a little familiar.

And that would be lovely, thank you. You'll have to let me buy you dinner, or at least a drink, to say thank you.

There's no need to thank me. And my husband might get a little jealous if you take me to dinner.

Haha, well, just coffee then. And I insist, really. I don't know what a day of shopping with me is like, but I feel like I'll owe you at least that.

I have one last delivery to make and then I'll be available. I have a shuttle I rented; I can pick you up, if you'd like.

Yeah, that would be great. I've been running all over this station for days. Getting to sit and travel at the same time would be a nice change.

[ Cheerfully: ] Then I'll pick you up. All you have to do is tell me where.

Aha, okay, I think by the time I'm done with this job...

_{[ He gives her a place to pick him up and a general time he thinks he'll be done with the job he's on. Thankfully it's nothing terribly complicated. ]}

_{[ He signs off and at the appointed time he is waiting for Padme,
having tried to clean up a just a bit, but he was coming right off a job so
a little bit of that still lay on him. He looked around for her car,
checking on his messages as he waited and looking up good places for coffee
on the station while he was at it. ]}

[ Padmé's shuttle is a small transport shuttle, a scuffed-up rental. She docks in a nearby "parking space" before stepping out of the shuttle to greet Jim properly. ]

I hope you didn't wait too long.

[ She's right on time, but a simple pleasantry tends to break the ice. ]
