Log 002 | Video + Action - Can't Kick Those Old Habits

Who: Jim Kirk & Anyone
Broadcast: Yes, fleet-wide
Action: On the space station
When: Feb. 14 (or any other day you want to work out for the action)

[ Video ]

Okay, so I think I have the money situation figured out here.

We get money by being popular on this "show" and being "ranked" -

[ Can everyone hear his continued disbelief of this load of crap they are being fed, but fine he's playing along for the time being. ]

But we can also get it on the station by offering to do work. Am I right? Which, by the way, just seems like it's adding insult to injury.

So aside from my making a cardboard sign and tacking it up in the space station, I'll set it out here too - I'm generally good with technology and fixing things in general, so if you ever need anything fixed I'm more than happy to get whatever it is you need running again for a fair price.

And if anyone has a recommendation on someplace to get good, cheap clothes on this station, I'd appreciate it. And real food.

[ He can only live so long between his uniform and the gray jumpsuit and replicated food items. That buffet on the Blue Fish ruined him to early. There are limits. ]

[ Action ]

[ As he said, he made his way down to the space station to see if he can drum up some business and start earning some cash. He hates being a free loader or being put on charity - he just hates being non-useful in general and he's terrible at sitting around and doing nothing. Besides, job hunting might also come with info hunting, so it's two birds with one stone in a sense. So off to find a job and some food that hasn't been replicated. It never tasted the same, no matter how much the product might say otherwise.

One really should not be surprised to see him chatting someone up, male, female, green, tailed, scaled ,or otherwise. It might be equally common for him to be getting slapped, and there's about a 65% chance of catching him in the midst of a bar fight if you find him later in the evening, or leaving in the company of someone. He did mention he had a reputation to keep up, and everyone needed some outlet for dealing with their situation. This was his.

He will try not to look to chagrinned making his way back to the ships come the morning though... ]

[ ooc: feel free to hit him up anywhere on the station as he will literally be going around every inch of it. And by all means, be the one being hit on, or just interrupt his night/morning because he's made poor life choices somewhere along the way! ]

[Draining another mouthful of drink Remy smiled against the lip of the glass at the feeling of that touch against his foot before lowering the glass and moving to rest his elbows against the table so he could lean into Jim's personal space.] I would say ravagin' good looks, but considerin' our viewer audience could range so widely, I doubt that will appeal to all. [Adding a grin to that joke.]

'nd 'm sure if we put our heads together we can think of one or two nice things for ya to do, 'nd maybe afterwards then we can figure out the whole reality show popularity thing, hien?

forever and ever?

[There was a smart line to follow up that question, it resting on the tip of Remy's tongue yet with the increased closeness between them it made those words vanish, something much more immediate getting his attention. It was just too much of an invitation to ignore, not when Kirk was giving him a look like that.

Closing the space and tilting his head just so, Remy moved to catch Kirk's lips with his own, keeping that steady pressure for a long moment before pulling back just far enough to be able to speak again in a slightly lowered tone, yet still loud enough to be heard over the music of the bar.]
If we countin' that as one then 'm goin' to have to add more numbers onto the list.

[That little nip, that brush of teeth and tongue, was both oh so sweet but incredibly teasing at the same time. It just wasn't enough yet Remy had to remind himself this was only the beginning of the night, they had plenty of time left to see where things went.

At Jim's comment he let out a low 'hmmmm' as an answer,]
I guess so, but ya know, to do it well, we gotta work out what gets a number. I mean, we determined a kiss does but might have to, [As he swept his gaze down the form of the other man which the table didn't block.] Experiment 'nd see what else counts.

I think so too, [However that lead to a good question of where to go to have said privacy. There was the option of either ship yet Remy did make it a typical policy to not take people back to his place, at least it was part of his rules back home. Then again, those were people he planned to never see again, which wasn't a case with Kirk, they were stuck together with everyone else on their ships. Yet there was a certain appeal to keeping his room on the ship his own, as well as the fact the ships did make for very close quarters and he didn't know how thin the walls were of the crew quarters.

Which left one other option.]
Ya know, next quarter over got some real nice hotels 'nd the like. Sure they would have a room free at this hour.

[Smiling at the kiss, it turned more into a sly grin at the comment, followed by a chuckle as Remy raised his glass to drain the last of the drink in it before getting to his own feet. Taking the chance to watch Jim head off in front of him, Remy got distracted for a moment to think to grab the partly drunken bottle, bringing it along with him. Catching up to the other man he moved to brush a hand against Kirk's lower back as he moved to his side.] Good idea.

[Putting on a bit of an act as if he was inspecting the room, Remy turned his attention to Jim.] Oui, say it do, 'nd the room ain't too bad either. [Not the smoothest of lines but he had a feeling the other man wouldn't mind too much.

Moving into his personal space, Remy cupped a hand to side of James' face and leaned in to press their lips together while guiding them both far enough into the room he could kick the door closed behind them.]

[Letting himself be pulled along deeper into the room, Remy dropped his hand from James' face to slip that arm out of his coat, pass the bottle to that hand, then slip his other arm free. The coat got thrown in the direction of where he had spotted a chair upon entering the room, the bottle going to a passing surface as they kept moving, and once his hands were free again one returned to his face as the other slipped around to rest against James' side. Oh, this was going to be fun, Remy knew it, as he kissed past those little bites and scrapes of teeth.]

[A touch of a smirk on his lips as he let himself get pulled along, Remy caught himself on his forearms, one resting up above Jim's head as he dropped his head back down to catch his lips. As much as Remy did like the sound of that laugh there was certainly more interesting things to be focused on right now, part of that including finding the edge of James' own shirt so he could run his own fingers along the man's skin, finding the side of his waist and ever so slowly gliding his fingers further up under his shirt.]

Ooh, [That was nice, that was really nice. Remy's back first arching away from the sudden touch before leaning in to that wonderful pressure and motion James was tracing on his back. Yet as tantalizing and distracting as the feeling of hands against his skin was, Remy was also equally distracted by the want to let his lips travel and get a chance to explore. Giving in to that need, he trailed a path away from Jim's mouth, finding the edge of his jawline as he shifted his free hand down to weave through the other man's hair, a light tug on it to help angle Jim's head and give Remy better access to run his lips and tongue over his jaw and side of his neck.]
