So. I've heard it's February 14th. And how good of the Atroma to get me my very own monogrammed ship. Apparently it's the perfect gift for the girl who so recently had everything. [ tacky, much? kate kinda cringes every time she sees her family name on her assigned ship -- regardless of how coincidental it might be. ] Kate Bishop, reporting for duty aboard the SS Bishop. I kid you not.

Can we change? Ships, I mean. Not that this one isn't lovely, sure. But I'm getting flashbacks to summer camp at Interlochen and my mother writing my name on all my shirt tags.

You're an archer, and you don't know -- [ calm down, kate. this isn't the end of the world. ] Must be a dimensional thing. But Robin Hood was this vigilante bowman. Stole from the rich, gave to the poor, won a lot of freaking shooting contests.

It must be a dimensional thing, but it sounds like I'd like him. A lot.

Yeah. [ a wistful sigh. ] His stories are kinda amazing. And in them, he does this shot -- arrow-through-an-arrow dealio. Clint's the first person I ever saw who actually managed to do it.

[ and in so doing it, he'd won a bet. taken her name. her gear. her everything, at that point. ]

...Wow, yeah. That seems pretty intense. He can really do that? Has he taught you how to do it?

[ a moment of quiet pride. ] Took some time, but I got there.

[ actually, it had taken kate longer than she'd anticipated to even achieve that shot once. ordinarily something of a natural when it came to memorizing and recreating the actions of others, the robin hood shot had eluded her for a while. ]

I usually use metal composite arrows, so I wonder if that would work.
